Thanks for the comments Lyn. I'm interested because the ones that I bought yonks ago swivelled round when I moved position and were uncomfortable when tightened.

I once saw a 'gift set' of garden hand tools and gloves, all with pretty flowery patterns on the handles and all over the gloves.  Can you imagine trying to find the $%&^£( things if you left them in the border?

I bought a cheap thin pair of gloves in B&Q, to wear under waterproof gloves. They had a camouflage pattern on them !!

    Quite @KT53 :D
I dislike the fact that a lot of walking clothing for women has headed down that road too. The stupid 'fitted' waist on jackets is even more irritating. Nobody with any common sense heads for the hills wanting to look like a catwalk model. If they do, they shouldn't be there to start with.

The pink Women's razors [usually more expensive than Men's razors] are another example of this rubbish. Do they really think I care what colour the razor is when I'm shaving my armpits?
Wrong thread for that really  :D

Jenny, that’s what I’ve decided to do,  out the Velcro further in, I think my machine with a thick needle will cope, I’m not bothered about the binding , I’ll overlock the seam.
KT,  if I just sow another piece of Velcro on I will have a flapping bit on the inside legs of about 3”,  it will have to be cut off.

    Uff,   They didn’t swivel round.

Hostafan,   Finding things is the borders is my downfall,  I’ve put red insulation tape on trowel handles,  my secateurs always seem to be black or dark green.
I wear surgical gloves under  cotton ones so hands stay dry,  having small hands I find anything thicker much to bulky.

Barrier cream on your hands before putting on any gloves is very good.

The only valid reason for buying "girlie" patterned tools is so your husband won't nick them.  I have a pair of pliers with mauve handles - revolting but useful...
