We've just ordered a new washing machine because the old one has recently developed a bit of a leak, and when OH tried to take out the thingummy at the bottom to make sure it wasn't blocked, it broke off. Cheerful because the front panel has been going rusty for a while and looks a mess but I couldn't justify a new one purely for appearance, and we found one with a decent discount (about 1/3 off) plus OH found a 10% discount code that applied to the charges for installation and for taking away the old one as well as the price of the new one.

Scrolling through the threads I am often amazed by what drives people nuts in their garden. It's often things I wouldn't even notice or would just accept as part and parcel of gardening. My RTBC is that nothing in my garden is driving me nuts at the moment. However, the house next door has been sold ......
On everything I've successfully grown this year, there's always been one liitle thing (tomato, pepper, chilli) that's out of the gate faster than all the others. So tonight, for the first time in over 40 years when my grandad used to grow them, I ate a home-grown tomato. It literally brought tears to my eyes! 😋😊🍅

Colour, sound and our senses. Isn't it just amazing that energy of a particular wavelength is interpreted by our eyes/ears and brain to give an illusion of sound and colour?
The sky here was so blue yesterday and there was a bee in a rose and its buzzing was amplified by the petals as the bee busily went about its business. Stunning. Just makes you feel good to be alive eh?
Cheerful might be putting it a bit strong but my reason not to be miserable is that I really don't have any emotional attachment to anything in my garden. That's lucky for me. It must be devastating if you have a different attitude to your garden.I will do my best to keep things alive in the heatwave, but if they succumb, so be it. A planting opportunity. I have made many mistakes over the years. I am absolutely certain that the mistakes will thrive.😐
