That glitch that was apparent yesterday seems to still be there - when you do an '@' and a forum name, the next bit of text goes onto the next line. Weird. I managed it in 5. I didn't realise I could have a double letter, so that delayed me a bit.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I only use it because it acts as a notification so that people know you've replied on their thread, or in answer to someone else who's posted on it etc. It's also handy if there's a query and you can use it to tag someone else in who might have better knowledge. That's assuming they use them - I don't

Ah that explains why it doesn't happen to me FairyGirl, I don't use the @ and then the name.
Mmmm .... I do and it doesn't. If I put @Uff it shows a drop down of any forum members whose name begins with "Uff" (but you're the only one.) If I put @FairyGirl it gives me several options as I'm typing and finally just two options. But anyway I don't get the same problem as others. I'm using Microsoft Edge on Win10.

I think I'm the only Uff on any forum (with a bluebell) at least I've never seen one VictorMeldrew. I know we're off topic a bit but I wonder why using Edge on W10 makes a difference. My mother always said I ask too many questions.

The browser software interprets your keystrokes and commands. It can make a difference to how something looks to the person browsing. Using Google Chrome on Win11 or Win9 could make the result of the commands in the script appear different if the programmer hasn't tested his code in every environment. Just a thought, that's all. And it's good to ask lots of questions

I just mean that the programmer should test his creation using Chrome, Edge, Firefox etc. under each of the currently supported operating systems, ie. Win9, Win10 & Win11 and of course the Mac environment.
