a Happy New Year everyone. Β π₯³π₯³π₯³π₯³.It is a real pleasure to have such lovely people to talk to . Thank you LB for all your pictures and your quizzes and being on Rez to keep us in check with the dreaded little man in the tank .
Good Morning LB, Busy, SGL, Ante & Rubee and all to follow,Β Happy New Year everyone Β πππΒ Hoping to have a walk on the seafront this morning after a hearty breakfast, hope you all have a good start to the year today.Β
That's so sweet, Hazel, it will be a family memory for years to come. When my uncle was small he thought the end of the Lord's Prayer was "For thine is the King and the cow in the drawing room"!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I have just finished 2 hours in the garden - yay! It felt good to be outside and the green bin is full, but it has got darker and darker now so more rain may arrive soon.
Hazel, I think it is so nice nowadays with all the technology that all the video recordings and voice recordings made to grandparents can be saved (to embarrass the grandchildren later of course! ). They are real treasures. How many people look at photographs these days? Many of the older coloured pictures have gone an interesting shade of 'pea soup' and half the places and people are forgotten about. Those are on my list for 'throwing away'.
We had the fog before Christmas Ante. The world seems to go so quiet when it is foggy.
Busy, you just brought back a memory to me. My youngest brother used to say 'Harold be thy name' when reciting the Lord's prayer.
Ruby, I will put that New Year's Day concert on but I do have to say that I am a bit of a Philistine when it comes to classical music. There are some bits I like and other bits that make my ears bleed!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
I've taken advantage of the mild morning as well @Ladybird4 - another 65 bulbs planted. I may be getting a bit late for some (ideally) but will get the last lot in somewhere over the next couple of days. I don't really want to put many in the ground as most of the best spots will be undergoing 'projects' this year.
Morning all and a very Happy New Year to you all again. I've completed the first task of every new year - writing birthdays, holidays etc etc onto the new wall calendar. Have a nice one featuring old East Anglian travel posters this time.Β I really use the e-diary on my phone / iPad for reminding me of appts and b'days - but I like having a new picture to look at each monthπ
Some lovely New Year pics on here today and some nice mis-hearings of the words of songs. I love Peter Kay and he does some very funny (and often very rude) rewording of songs. Once he's said them I can only hear his version whenever the song comes on the radio.
It's a gorgeous sunny, mild day and I could really do to go for a walk and burn off some calories but I'm very comfy and snug indoors - so maybe not!
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Here is thick, thick fog. I have my tea while I'm waiting bread to rise.Β
Happy Saturday!
