@Nanny Beach  there lots of woks suitable for induction hobs from ProCook (my OH works for them so I know they're really good quality).  They've got a big online sale on at the moment ... or they may even have a store near you.

Unfortunately, the necessary changes to delivery rules under Covid have definitely been taken as an opportunity by some delivery drivers to just dump packages and walk away.  Much easier and quicker than ringing a bell and waiting for somebody to answer the door.  Also the perfect cover for the truly 'bent' do steal.
We recently received a package which wasn't just delivered to the wrong house (ours), but to the wrong street entirely.  The other address bore no resemblance to ours.  It wasn't Road instead of Avenue for example.  When the intended recipient queried the delivery they were told it had indeed been delivered to the wrong address, but the address given to them still wasn't ours.  Fortunately I took it round to them or they would never have found it.
I know many have had bad experiences with Hermes, but our local delivery guy is absolutely brilliant.

Sorry - so you wanted a timer that rings an alarm like a kitchen timer?

Isn't that an alarm clock? 😵

Give them a go @Nanny Beach ... I was sceptical until I tried them ...as you know I'm on a cookery forum and I'm very particular about my utensils, knives etc ....  now OH works for them and I have lots of their stuff  ... and if you're not happy they'll always exchange them or give a refund.  They're very good like that.

No, @steveTu & @Dovefromabove - just a plug-in 24-hour timer switch, like Steve's 7-day one but with smaller increments - to switch on the kettle at a pre-arranged time.  Being woken by a gently-increasing sizzle of a kettle is infinitely preferable to being shaken awake by an alarm clock.   :)

Anyway, I got a reply from the firm concerned, saying they're sending it to me today and refunding the postage.  I'll believe it when I see it, having read the other reviews on Trustpilot...   :/

    20 euros is till a lot of money @Liriodendron - around £16 - £17. I hope you get your refund  :)
I use my Dad's old plug in timers - with the little pegs you push up and down, but they might not be precise enough either. I got some newer ones from one of the cheapo shops too, and they're not quite as good, but still do the job for lights etc.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

If your replacement doesn't come through you might want to look at this https://www.screwfix.com/p/masterplug-tes7-digital-plug-in-plug-through-programmable-timer/50676
