That is a lovely story @Uff, I hope your new nectarine has a long and healthy life.
@Lizzie27, OH and I often say to each other that comedy isn't what it used to be. Everything has to be so politically correct nowadays. There was even an item on the News today about that.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning all, been awake an hour, given up,got up,but taking tea and book back to bed. Did all the washing yesterday as it was sunny and windy.all up to date,as we're having lunch with other grandparents tomorrow, then obviously a bit busy Christmas day. Making Toskaka for dessert for tomorrow. Have a good day whatever you are doing
Oooh havenโt had Toscakaka for an age @Nanny Beach ย โฆ thanks for the reminder โฆ thatโs another to add to the list โฆ the perfect cake to have with a relaxing morning coffee with friends. ย Enjoy!
Today is the day for cooking the gammon, making the cranberry sauce and cooking the spiced red cabbage.ย
Weโre nearly there โฆ
Gardening in Central Norfolkย on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Hello @Dovefromabove, yes, we're nearly here...thank goodness. I am very much looking forward to a very lazy Christmas Day, cooking a nice meal just for us without any stress of feeding what feels like the 5000 some days here.ย
We did a Christmas Bake sale yesterday of takeaway festive cakes, individual slices, the plan was to use up leftovers whilst people collected their Christmas orders, well, they wiped me out very quickly and people placed orders again and are coming back to collect today, so Mince Pie, Shortbread and Cupcake making carried on all day again. I wasn't expecting that.ย
I have also spent the last two days looking for two sweatshirts I bought for Charlie and hid, failing miserably....doh!ย
Anyway, I hope all December birthdays have been enjoyed and now everyone can begin to enjoy Christmas (in whatever way they choose). I am not sure I really want to indulge in Mince Pies or Christmas Pudding, seen rather too much of them lately.

โCoffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else?โ โBetsy Caรฑas Garmon
Morning Dove, was going to do oskaka, blackberry sauce, home grown, I like to try and incorporate something homegrown. Last time we had meal with other grandparents,it was flourless orange cake. Got plenty ripe, but wanted a change. Hubby not keen on cottage cheese, although I assured him you would not taste it,no cardamon pods!
Morning everyone,ย back to grey and dull here again.ย We have to collect Turkey today. With the rule change Christmas day might be back on, if GD tests neg today and tomorrow,ย otherwise we were going to postpone to 27, always assuming all the rest of us stay negative too. Fingers very crossedย
