    Morning all,  evening @""Pat E"
    -2 outside 🥶
No more work for me until next Monday which will allow me time to finish preparing for Christmas and boxing day.

OH gone to work after de icing the car,  step womble having a sleep in,  being a teacher at a school for excluded children she's been working constantly so came here to be pampered and treated like a kid again herself,  bless!

Went to visit her Nana yesterday who was wearing a @Dovefromabove cardi and sitting under a blanket knitted by the same trendy designer!!
Took her 2 pots off homemade chicken and veg soup and a Shepherds pie and some sausage rolls.

More card delivering,  couple of last gifts to get but all depends on when birthday brother wakes to get his gifts, so another coffee is in order I think 🤔  have a good day folks
  • Love and hugs to Step Womble @WonkyWomble.  Glad your lovely MIL is keeping warm as well as stylish  B)

I'm baking the mince pies and sausage rolls this morning so that'll keep me warm, but if you're still too warm later on @Pat E you can send some heat up this way ... much more of this and @hostafan will go into hibernation.

OH says he had a lovely birthday @punkdoc ... low key, but that's how he likes it  B)

Happy Birthday to @Dovefromabove son.   Do you recount every minute of the day they were born,  I can go over actual conversations and everything to the minute of the day my son was born,  54 years ago,   Can’t remember what we have for dinner on Sunday 😀

No frost here but the sky was a panoramic deep pink this morning before sunrise,  after a dull solstice day yesterday the sun has risen again. 🌞
Tesco order coming today, wonder if anything will be missing,  we will have to go without if there is, I’m not going out shopping.

It's all a bit of a blur @lyn ... we were in the local little cottage hospital ... he kept stopping and starting, and was a fortnight overdue so 'they' decided to hurry him along a bit ... that didn't work so they decided to send me to the big hospital 25 miles away ... in an ambulance ... about five miles into the journey things started to happen in earnest so it was Blues & Twos all the way .... he's always been one for a bit of drama eh @WonkyWomble 🤣 ?

Wonky was much less trouble ... until after she was born  ;)

That's no understatement  @Dovefromabove, he likes folks to remember him I guess! Never has been good at waking up either.... if there had been a Starbucks in the hospital it might have hurried him up a bit! 😉

Morning all. Just woken up after another disturbed night. OH up for an hour at 5, and decided to make us both coffee and toast! Then back to sleep.
Have to go to the supermarket tomorrow to collect the turkey crown, and the last bits and pieces of fresh stuff. No coffee in my delivery this week. I hope that was just a blip, and they will have my preferred brand in stock when I visit. Luckily I tend to stockpile a supply, as they often run out, so should be ok for Christmas.
Last day of ‘work’ today, ie diy etc, then we will tidy up and down tools until next week. Will make some mince pies tomorrow- with bought pastry, decided over the years that this is beyond my capabilities! Then a lazy few days enjoying a tidy house.

Ahhh right. I've worked it out, wonky is your daughter eh Dove? I can be a bit dim at times - well most times actually.

Morning all. Granddaughter just sent me a pic of her lateral flow test and it's positive so that's messed her Christmas up. Just goes to show, she's so careful.

  • Morning,  yes a pink glow in the sky here too, just before 8. Unfortunately the clouds are building up again already. Hard frost here as well so glad I got that digging done yesterday.
    Have a good day all.
