Night all. Having watched another three episodes of Shetland, I’m so confused that I’m not sure how I'll get to sleep. πŸ™„. I’m very grateful for subtitles though. Now I know the old fisherman killed his brother.Β

We've got sunshine!Β  Haven't seen the sun it seems for ages, it's brightened up our day no end. I did do some gardening in the end. I only intended to walk up the garden with flattened cardboard boxes to go on the raised veg beds over the winter and ended up picking off leaves of my shady bed to expose the snowdrops peeking through. I also constructed a very Heath Robinson effect with old trellis tied on with string and covered with bubblewrap (couldn't find my stash of fleece anywhere) over a euronymus bush which gets clobbered with frost every year. Then I realized I hadn't yet cut off old strawberry leaves and found new leaves, flowers and strawberries growing! It's really topsy turvy weather this year.

Your early Xmas sounds delightful @Busy-Lizzie and I bet the grandchildren were super excited. How can you have a Christmas Market without Christmassy things @Obelixx?
Our local Bath one got cancelled again but as I don't usually visit, I'm not disappointed.

I found sub-titles very helpful @Pat E when watching Shetland, wished I'd thought of putting those on from the beginning though.

I don't know @Lizzie27.Β  Clearly the organisers have never been to a German or even Belgian Xmas market.Β  Β I expect to find winter woollies and hats and scarves and hand-crafted bits and bobs on sale to give as gifts but I also like to find new decorations for the tree and house and proper Christmassy food and drink.

Good job I can cook, make a good mulled wine and also Xmas decs now.

Your early Xmas sounds like fun @Busy-Lizzie

    Evening.

The fog didn't lift all day here. Cold too.Β

Poor sleep last night as some sort of party next door, after they came home about 1am. I’ve also had an eye/headache this weekend (negative on the LFTs).Β

    Happy Birthday Mr Dove
    and Pat’s son πŸŽ‚.

Hope everyone doing ok - keep safe and germ free folks.Β

Cold and foggy here today, so had a quiet day - a bit of present wrapping, watched a silly film, read my book.
