As long as I donโ€™t get mine back, Dove! Enjoy your busy day, give Wonky a hug from me.ย
A day at home today, tidying up and finishing decorating the tree. Daughter has sent fancy Chelsea buns as a treat, from a bakery in Cambridge, and they are due to be delivered this morning.
Spent yesterday putting new covers on the Ikea sofas, now dark turquoise green instead of grey. Really pleased, it looks far more cheeerful.

    Good morning all!

@Dovefromabove ย That dream is because your mind was on the Christmas card you got with your previous married name on it. ย Just the sub conscious going back a "few" years!

Off to the markets now - getting late to do this as it will be heaving by 10am so had better make a move.

    Pleasant day to everyone.

    Morning โ˜€๏ธ

Both Chicklets are now home for the holidays, so I can relax a bit. ย Littlest chicklet has had boyfriend, flatmates and work colleagues all test positive last week, so has been selfisolating in her room and taking daily tests for the last 7 days. ย Along with 2 negative PCRโ€™s we think she might have dodged the bullet. ย Its been a nervy week ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ

Taking them both to get boosted this morning (the booster campaign really does seem to be ramping up, as they are both at the bottom of the age range). ย 2 hour round trip but worth every mile ๐Ÿš—.

We should have been away this weekend - my birthday present from the girls was a weekend away for all of us visiting Christmas markets and doing Christmassy things. ย They booked it all as a surprise - I was very touched. ย  Decided last week it was best to postpone til spring - then I can drag them all round pretty gardens instead.

So instead we are all heading down to the coast, for a walk and some cobweb removing ๐Ÿ•ธ.

  • Morning everyone,ย  it's so dull and grey again it's barely daylight despite the hour. Waiting on GDs PCR test result so we can decide what we can or can't do ๐Ÿ˜•
    AB Still learning

  • You might be right there @tui34 :)

Right, I've got all packages wrapped and bagged up ... the birthday cake for my son is ready ... his birthday isn't until Wednesday, so I've said he can start it early ... don't want it to get stale!ย  It'll take him a while to eat it all, even if he gets some help.ย ย

I'm not leaving here for a bit ... I'll wait until OH has gone to work then head down south ... it's not as foggy as they forecast ... just low cloud.ย ย

I'm pleased about the good and sorry about the bad punkdoc. Would steam inhalations help you, might help stop your sinus from getting bunged up?
