It's been wasted on me today @Lizzie27 as I've been pointlessly staying in waiting for an engineer who never came :(ย

  • We have just done an LFTย  each as one GD has just got a pos test (waitingย  for PCR). We saw her last on Monday,ย  rest of house all neg so far.ย  Looks like the plan for Christmas will probably have to be moved or scrapped, depending on whether anyone else tests pos. Timers just pinged We are neg too, for now.ย

Thatโ€™s great news @punkdoc โ€ฆ a duck will be perfect, plus ๐Ÿท โ€ฆ I expect thereโ€™s some cheese ๐Ÿง€ available somewhere isnโ€™t there? You can always raid the ๐Ÿ traps ๐Ÿ˜‰ย

I hope Moiraโ€™s mum enjoys being cared for and having some company to chat to when she feels like it ๐Ÿคžย

@Biglad ๐Ÿ˜Š when your beginner eventually arrives and sorts you out can you send him around to my sonโ€™s house share as their washing machine seems to be reluctant to pump out. Just when he needs his warm winter woollies. ๐Ÿ™„ย

Iโ€™ve found buses are always unreliable at this time of year @Lizzie27 โ€ฆ busy traffic can make life for bus drivers very difficult. Itโ€™s a good idea to wrap up very warm! โ›„๏ธ ๐ŸšŒย

Thanks for reminding me @Dovefromabove, forgot about cheese.
A visit to the cheese shop tomorrow is called for, probably won't need to eat again after that.

Sorry your Christmas has been spoiled @Allotment Boy

Now scheduled to arrive on 4th Jan, d-fab. Can your son's washing machine wait that long?

    Evening.

Mixed fortunes with you all. I hope we can all make the best of the festive time despite our worries and complications.

I personally think that festive food is the common denominator whether you are spending time alone, just in your household, or with others. My little treats include a few โ€˜trimmingsโ€™ from the food department of a certain retailer. I nipped into said shop on way home today for some stuffing, bread sauce etc. Cheeses will be required, along with smoked salmon too. Iโ€™ve probably told this tale before, but one year I was alone, working a run of nights, and had fish finger sandwiches for Xmas dinner. Since then, I always make sure my fridge if full of goodies.ย

Have a good weekend all and keep away from the germs.ย

Hubby once got so drunk watching telly on xmas day whilst I was in the garden, I sent him to bed and I had patรฉ on toast whilst watching Downton Abbey alone.
