Happy Birthday to Mr Dove, hope he has a nice day and not working. My OH made Edward Woodward’s headstone, such a big OTT effort they had to have a small crane to erect it. It was what she chose, the customer is always right.

Morning all, evening @Pat E happy birthday Mr Pat and Mr Dove Been crazy busy and continue to be so busy popping in to see if everyone's OK 👍 @D0rdogne_Damsel we have a rule that it's never the next day until you've had a full night's sleep!! Now to put Moroccan lamb in the slow cooker, make sausage rolls, finish customers ironing, change bed clothes, tidy chaos, delivery of gifts, some last bits of shopping, wrapping then cook dinner. Love how I get such a rest at the weekend! 😬🤪😴
Happy birthday to your OH @Dovefromabove, and to your boy @Pat E Your Sunday sounds exhausting @WonkyWomble. Mine ought to be - I look around and there are plenty of jobs to be done - but I think, I'll just have another cup of tea while I think about what to do first.
Morning all, Happy birthday to all those with birthdays today. It's foggy and cold today which is a nuisance as I was hoping to catch up with some gardening. Strictly a fair weather gardener here. I've got washing on and tidying indoors to do. Had been invited to a previous boss's memorial/celebration of life 'do' this morning but will give it a miss to now limit exposure before Xmas. Took a chance yesterday but that's enough. Apart from dentist on Tuesday which is unavoidable, we're staying in apart from daily walks. Thankfully the incidence here is still on the low side. Enjoy your Sunday whatever you've got planned.
We've been having an early Christmas. We had loads of finger foods and Champagne last night. We've opened our presents, the children were delighted. I got some nice presents too, really pretty earrings, lamps for the spare bedroom and a shrub for the garden, Viburnum Plicatum Lanarth. The daughters are doing roast beef, veg, Yorkshire pudding and Pavlova for lunch. Son 2 and family are dropping in this afternoon.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Another cold grey day here with plenty of wind chill. Happy birthday to all concerned and hope you find something lovely to do, even if it's just flopping.
We went to a Christmas market last night - everyone checked for Covid pass at the entrance. Fabulous setting with great lighting and strolling players and entertainers but no Christmassy stuff apart from mulled wine. Good atmosphere tho.
More Xmas decs to do here today. I took the big loppers out yesterday to cut a couple of bare branches to hang, bedecked with baubles and lights, from the kitchen and dining room ceilings and ended up doing quite a bit of crown lifting along about 20 metres of our boundary with farmer Luc's pasture. Expected to have shoulder and arm muscles today but no.
Apart from popping round to check on Annik who broke her wrist a couple of weeks ago we have no socialising planned other than the weekly shop and a visit to an exhibition on the Romans and the Gauls in the Vendée. Don't want anything to spoil our own small festivities.
Stay safe and well everyone and enjoy your day.

However are we going to cope ???!!! 😱 the Daily Fail tells us that we must prepare ourselves for a 'Big Freeze' of down to ................ -1C !!! and up to 1cm of snow in the north of the country!!! Whatever next ... in December!?!?!? The world is probably coming to an end ...

Glad you warned us all @Dovefromabove, better panic buy bread and loo rolls then!
Another grey damp day here, can't seem to get going when it's like this Many happy returns to all the birthday folks. Best wishes to any poorly ones. Still on tenterhooks here for GD's PCR test. We are still LFT test negative.
