Why is there never any sound on Youtube clips? Is it because I'm in France? I managed to find @punkdoc's clip on Youtube and there was sound.

I feel OK now, thanks @Lizzie27, very mild cold or mild reaction to my booster.

Yes you can heat your chicken, so long as it is thoroughly heated all the way through. I've done it before for stir fries.

Hello strangers - long time no-post but look in nearly every day to see what you've all been up to.

    Just popped in to say:

@chicky - such wonderful & uplifting news about your dadย and congratulations on your exam results - celebrations all round for your family this week!

@Hostafan1 - kind thoughts and best wishes continue to be with you and your husband while you navigate this horrid period in your lives.ย

Ditto for you and yours @punkdoc

@Lizzie27 - Maybe I'm too late to say this but I have bought separate pan lids before now (I managed to drop & break two glass ones at different times). If you really love your saucepans you can keep them and just buy some lids. You should have the right to return the new pans if my idea would suit you better.

@Dovefromabove - ยฃ2.99 for a 2kg ham hock sounds like a good deal to me. Which farm shop is it please? I may need to do a detour next time we're heading towards Norwich or the coast. Certainly hoping to visit Fen Farm Dairy to pick up some Baron Bigod before Christmas๐Ÿ˜‹

Mmm think pea soup with bacon hocks. ย My mum used to make that - with fresh warm bread and butter!

@punkdoc Funnily enough, I'm serving sausage rolls as a savoury for my Christmas afternoon tea on Sunday. ย They have sausage rolls here - tiny little mouthful bites - not the beauties we know!

Agree with @Busy-Lizzie ย  Make sure the chicken is well heated/really hot, right through to kill anything lurking in the middle!

Had a baking afternoon - the kitchen fitter likes mince pies and lebkuchen with his coffee. ย I have also made a leek and roquefort tart for tonight. ย ย

@Topbird, thanks for that. I did think of that and had a look online, but how do you know which lid will fit which pan? The new ones have already arrived but unfortunately the sizes are too small for what I need - and I thought I had checked and measured them really, really thoroughly. Might keep one and order another bigger one.

Leek and roquefort tart sounds good @tui34.
