Thanks @Lyn, we are all pleased.
Problem is going to come: persuading MIL to go to a home, and then finding the means to pay for it.

Iโ€™ve just been out to check the rain gauge and the strawberries. Wow! ย 78mm rain since yesterdayโ€™s reading, and another tray full of strawberries. This weather has made such a difference to the garden. The river is right up to both banks on both sides, as well.

Itโ€™s a bit hard to get used to after the last few years of no rain. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Hi Ergates and Hosta. Yes, wow is right.ย

Hubby has been struggling to get mowing done. First the mower needed service, then the brush cutter had to go in for repair and then the tractor had to be attended to. Theyโ€™ve been sitting in the shed all winter.ย

Those are really lovely picturesย @Pat E ๐Ÿ˜Šย
Iโ€™m heading off to the farm shop and butcher later this morning to get our usual weekโ€™s supplies and then I may go to another farm shop a bit further away as they often have some large gammon hocks ๐Ÿคžย

    Good morning Forkers!

@Obelixx ย - we got it here at 4.30am - bucketing down. ย It has stopped now, but the sky is a steely grey and the sun has gone on holiday!!

Ripper of a photo @Pat E !! ย Betcha glad of some water to fill the tanks!
@punkdoc ย Sounds like some good care for your MIL and peace of mind for you and yours.

Some more baking today - mince pies. The French love them! ย  ย @D0rdogne_Damsel ย Those Christmas cakes look beautiful - well done you!!

Must dash, lots to get done.
    Have an enjoyable day all.

Morning all, had a very disturbed night with wind and rain, the wind has blown a lot of things all over the garden, haven't yet ventured out to clear up as it's still blowing a hoolie. Lovely photos @Pat E, It's good that you have some breathing space @punkdoc to discuss the best options for MIl. I would love a gammon joint if their is one please while you are at the farm shop @Dovefromabove, with this hoolie blowing it could be here by the end of the dayย  :o Belated congratulations @chicky, love the cakes @D0rdogne_Damsel.
    Have a good day all.
