I had the Moderna booster yesterday, and all I have is the slightest ache where the needle went in.ย

    Good afternoon folks.

Off to the "undies" market in Beziers - the clothes markets where they sell socks and undies. ย It was calm with a hint of sunshine when we left. ย At the markets, the wind came up in great gusts - the stallholders were hanging for dear life onto their umbrellas. ย Then on to the library and then to the even more crowded fruit and veggie markets. ย Push and shove and covidness. ย A "begging" lady asked me to get her 2 lettuces - so I did - rather give food than money. ย She was very pleased that I remembered. ย A nice big vegetable soup to be made tomorrow!! ย

Off to the hairdresser's now for a blow wave on my curly unruly mop - then onto a jazz concert with dinner in the same room - dinner first as the musicians and singers don't like to hear the clanking of plates whilst they are entertaining us!

Still blowing like billyo out there - no cycling on my leccky bike today - I have been training my border collie to run along beside the bike - on the paths in fields only - no footpaths yet. I still have to take her out walkies ย as she needs that smell exercise and she always "leaves a comment" !!ย

@Pat E ย  Nice strawberries, Pat. ย My friend in Melbourne says the summer is very variable at the moment. ย One minute hot then it can drop to 13ยฐC.

@Busy-Lizzie ย  Happy landing - you should be safely in France by now.

    Oops gotta rush!!

Have a great weekend all - mind how you go with the Prosecco. ย I'm okay tonight as I'm not driving!!

Evening all. Just finished making my not-quite-quince jelly - using Chaenomeles cathayensis fruit rather than true quince. It is similar to the Japanese flowering quince but much bigger fruit. The residual pulp has been pressed through the sieve to make a membrillo later.

I'm back in my French home now. Plane was a bit late and I stopped at the SM on the drive home. Car started first goย ย ย Laptop is working. Humax box won't work, which means no English TV, no Strictlyย ย ย  House is quite warm, Patrick had lit the stove, but it had gone out. I've re-lit it.
