    Evening.ย

For those who get sore ears with the mask elastic, I wear a material head band and use as a cushion between the elastic and behind the ears. It can move but itโ€™s ok for a short shopping trip etc. Even some cotton wool can help stop that horrible rubbing too.

    Take care folks.ย

Back at the start of COVID when care workers werenโ€™t given any PPE, ย we crocheted these to take the pressure off the ears. ย Used white cotton so they could be boiled.ย

@Lyn - even a sewn one would suffice. ย Excellent! ย Went through my sewing bag of goodies and found some ribbon - does the job but could look like Sunbonnet Sue from the back. ย That band looks just the ticket!!

@AuntyRach ย Yes a hairband is good to cushion the elastic but I have such thick hair, a right around hairband makes my hair underneath stick out!!

Yes @floralies ย  Theoretically you are correct - but after some pak choi fried with garlic and a garlicky spinach salad - a dose of nerves (for tonight's sleep or tomorrow's x-ray), I think I have the matter in hand and the ball (so to speak) is rolling!!

    Hi all

No rain, mild and windy, almost tempted to garden, almost.

We were planning to go to Sister in laws for New Year, but the number of COVID cases have made us decide against.

  • Morning everyone,ย  similar here on both counts @punkdoc. I think it will be too wet underfoot to do anything useful in the garden.ย ย
We would normally go to SD's they always have quite a big bash ,ย  we are doubtful about going.ย  Can't get any LFTย  tests anyway.ย  We had to give them one of our packs over Christmas as they ran short, now we can't get any replacements.ย

    Good morning all.

I hope I'm not doing anything for New Year. I have another cold, that's 2 colds and a tummy bug in 3 weeks thanks to the dear little grandchildren!

Very mild here, I haven't lit the stove.

I hope @Dovefromabove's OH has a good holiday.
