I'm expecting that it's either a viral thing or a parasitic infection Dove. He rakes about woodland with his nose into everything and if he thinks it's edible then he eats it. He rarely gets scraps at home and never anything that he shouldn't eat.

  • Bless him … but if a seagull has dropped something … I’ve known a dog pick up a turkey neck in the middle of a field … it could only have been dropped by a seagull. By the time I got to the dog he’d eaten half of it … thankfully he was a sturdy Labrador with a digestive system much like one of those waste disposal units. 🙄

Hope Wee Uff makes a quick recovery. My late Aged Ps had a cairn named Wee MacGregor … he was a real character 🥰

Just popping in to say good morning fellow forkers. Windy outside, doesn't appear to be raining, expecting a quiet day, all round. Got lots of knitting and sewing to do. Need to order some seeds, I start off the tomatos, peppers, squashes, January, thought I would atempt melons in a greenhouse this year, as my (non) gardening neighbours have had quite good success with them.

    Morning all.

I hope Wee Uff recovers quickly.

    Damp and gloomy here too.

I'm going to Daughter 2's (Possum) for lunch. My two sons will be there too. Son 1 is staying, with his family, 3 daughters, for a few days with daughter as he lives some way away in Burgundy. Son 2 is about an hour away, like me. There will be more opening of presents.

  • Morning everyone,  there was a bit of brightness in the sky when I was first up, but the wind has brought the cloud in again. I am stood by the back door on pigeon patrol at the moment,  they sit in ndn silver birch waiting for me to put mealworms out for the blackbirds, and all the other smaller ones. If I don't keep them at bay they hoover up the lot in seconds and the little birds get no chance.

    Good morning  everyone.

The first thing my nurse neighbour said  @AuntyRach was, "La respiration?"  Can you breathe?       Thank you @Busy-Lizzie doped up on codeine for the night, I slept until about 4.30am on my "other" side - it is manoeuvring about painfully - but hopefully in a weeks' time, the bruising will subside.  Have a lovely lunch with your family.  Yes @Lizzie27 Nothing can be done except rest and painkillers.  Thank you all for your kind words.

We watched the first and second episode of "Around the World in 80 Days" last night and although it was enjoyable, found it to be pretty much the same as the last adaption.  I would like to see "A Very British Scandal" tonight.

@Uff I hope your dog is attended to today.  It's so hard with animals because they can't tell you where the pain is.  Please let us know.

@Nanny Beach  We have the same weather except rain was forecast for today, so I didn't put a load of washing on last night.  Drat!!

@punkdoc   Hope you get that stream under control.

Have a pleasant day everyone - any enjoy the champers while you can!!

I muddled the British scandal with the English scandal,  thought it was the very Liberal Jeremy Thorpe Story repeated so didn’t record it.  Must get it on catchup,  we are so lucky to have all this these days.

Daughter and family are going home this afternoon, 12 year old has 2nd jab booked.
poor chap’s paranoid about COVID. Because he’s here with me I think,  he’s taken 3 tests in 3 days because he’s coughed.  All negative of course he had COVID in October .

Too windy here even for the cat to go out. Nice lazy day. Just got a snack lunch to do, they will eat when they get home.
