We had a letter advising thereโ€™d be no power from 9-3 today, so we wandered around town for a while. ย All ok now.

    Morning all โ˜€๏ธ

Going to an event this morning to make a Christmas wreath for the front door. ย Hopefully someone will have some arty skills that I can slavishly copy ๐Ÿ™„. ย Not very arty myself, but I am a good follower of patterns ๐Ÿคฃ

Been a busy week of volunteering and college - canโ€™t believe we are at Friday again already โ˜บ๏ธ

Dove,itโ€™s now 6.45pm and is cooling down nicely. Iโ€™m like you. Donโ€™t like the heat. I wonder now how I managed to live in Darwin for 13 years. Stinking hot usually, but admittedly I was 50 years younger. ย ๐Ÿ™„

    ย Morning all.

ย I've just read about the poor little boy, who was murdered by his stepmother, what a horrific story. Glad I didn't read it last night.

I'll post all my Christmas cards for family and friends in the UK today.

Back to France tomorrow, have to leave at crack of dawn as I have to have a Covid test at the airport. That was stressful as the French Gov had announced it but hadn't updated their website. Very sudden.

We are going to the friends of the church cocktail party this evening but mustn't stay too long. Need an early night.

Good morning all,ย  afternoon @Pat E, I've joined you and @Dovefromabove in becoming a knitter!! Basic stripey blanket to start with ๐Ÿ˜‰
Customer has cancelled this morning and rebooked for next week so no rush to drink my second coffee
  • Morning all, I had a bit of a disturbed night too. We have a leaky gutter and it's drip dripping and hitting the little roof over the patio doors.ย  Very annoying.ย

Sorry for all those unable to sleep. I was awake for an hour and a half, but stuck my nose in a book to keep my brain from working overtime, then slept till 8am.ย
Very careful to censor the news headlines, takes forever for me to try and wipe sad and horrid things from my mind, so just have to avoid them where I can.
So glad we got out for walks in the sunshine the last two days. Misty and overcast here this morning, but warmer, so house jobs today.ย
