Hello @Pat E That river looks fast flowing. Are you on bore water?
Good morning to you all.
Some hot news today when we find out about the new strain - are our vaccinations enough? I agree with @punkdoc - Hunker down! I am so sorry for the people that have to go out to work and use public transport. I'm two ways about gym classes now - although there are only about 8 in the class in a large studio. I washed my hands after each session!
Windy here - but the sky is bright, although there is a red glow....shepherd's warning!
I agree with @Obelixx , @Busy-Lizzie - Dublin a a lovely city but there are other interesting cities to visit. Will they be going by bus or flying? Can they get billeted out?
The ground is too soggy to do any gardening today, but there are still leaves and olives to sweep up. A never ending story!!
So glad to hear from you, punkdoc, have been worrying. Hope your health state improves, and you start to feel better soon. Seems quieter on the forum recently, maybe that will continue. All the best.
Good morning all 😊 ☕️ and 🤗 for @punkdoc … we know you’re feeling grim, and you know you’re in our thoughts and hoping for better days for you soon. Ignore the irritations … just like a small cloud of gnats they can’t spoil a beautiful garden. It’s grey and wet and 4C here. I have to visit the farm shop and butcher this morning, and then OH will cut my hair … it’s about time … it’s way too long and bushy!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Good to see your river flowing so full @Pat E 😊 We spent a wonderful week in Dublin a few years ago when OH was asked to exhibit there … lots to see and do and because of the scale all very accessible. Loved our time there.

Morning all. Hello @punkdoc, I was thinking of you and was going to ask @Dovefromabove if she had any news of you. Couldn't you just post here and not bother with the other threads?
I've been to Dublin, lovely city. I've been twice to Ireland on riding holidays with my daughter, Dingle and Wicklow. @Obelixx is right, insurance and paperwork make it expensive and complicated. Also some of the children in her class come from the Middle East. I meant to say - no trip to England last year because of Covid, said Brexit, but as Brexit has stopped the trips anyway it was Brexit and Covid.
It's raining and windy outside.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning everyone, grey and dull here too. It was forecast but that doesn't make it any better. Good to hear from you @punkdoc, I agree you must do what is best for you, take care. Got to plots yesterday but didn't get as much done as I wanted, seems to be the pattern these days.
Good morning all, keep warm and well @punkdoc, the weather does seem to be all over the place Pat but good for you to get the much needed rain. We are also having an unusually cold and grey November. Have a good haircut Dove, mine seems to be settling down now since OH "helped" me cut mine!
