Early start as College today, and dropping chicklet at the station en route.
its our last plant identity test today - 12 plants, full latin names for each. Today is the turn of evergreen shrubs …..quite a few of which I was already familiar with, so that makes it a lot easier. The course is whizzing past.
My amaryllis bulbs have started to show the very tips of emerging green shoots ….. very exciting way to start a Thursday. Makes up for having to do a lateral flow test before my first cuppa 😳
Good morning to the early birds @chicky and @D@Dovefromabove Yes, those emerging shoots are exciting. Good luck for your test today, Chicky.
Torrential downpours here yesterday and again throughout the night. Heard some thunder too at some time during the night. Although the sky isn't clear, it is bright and most of the water has evacuated. Some areas around here have been hard hit with the usual flooding.
It’s been raining all day. So unusual! I’ve finished knitting yet another pair of gloves.
I just hope they will be appreciated when they get offered to homeless people next autumn. Here’s several pair for ladies hands. I’ve got another three pair for men and two for children.
Morning everyone, rude awakening again, someone up the road let's out a yapping dog first thing. Then the dulcet tones of a leaf blower, joined in. At least the sun is shining, no volunteering for me today as I am very behind with my own work and it's forecast to be wet tomorrow.
Love those gloves @Pat E .... just what we need here at this time of year. Brrr! It's getting colder .... I'm knitting @WonkyWomble a Mobius Scarf ....

I’m glad you like them Dove. I hope they’ll be appreciated next autumn. I must admit I’m really grateful to you for giving me the idea of donating to needy people.
I have a box of fingerless mitts and a blanket ready to post to homeless. This is a useful place if anyone what’s to knit anything. If you make mitts about 12” long they can draw their fingers up into the garment on cold days.
