  • @WonkyWomble is fine thanks @Lizzie27 … believe it or not her customers are keeping her very busy (even at this time of year) plus she’s remodelling part of her own garden and at weekends she’s teaching her stepson to cook as he’s now head of his household and guardian of his young half brother. This weekend he learned to make a Bechamel sauce and turn it into macaroni cheese 👍
Yesterday amongst other jobs she was re-building a customer’s damaged garden wall (with help from Papa Womble who’s a retired builder) 😊

That's very good news Dove, I wish she lived near me, I could make her busier!

She's doing very good work with her stepson.

Ergates,no, not overwhelmed, just want folks to say thanks Mum. Did wonder if crying in front of sarcastic, purile neighbour might shut him up. I always shot off before I burst into tears. Then,of course, I see Hosta you guys who are going through so much health issues, and I feel pathetic and guilty

Very disappointed as I've just heard from son, who's had second thoughts about coming to stay overnight with us. Was so looking forward to seeing him but respect his reasons.
I'll have to post my little granddaughter's presie to her. Hopefully might cheer her up.

Seen the latest covid figures from France, not looking good at all. Such a worry whether to go or not for Busy-Lizzie.

Covid infections in France are just over a third of those in the UK @Lizzie27!  They have increased since the half term holidays - 2 weeks so lots stay with grand-parents or have family hols - but way less than the UK and drop-in centres and vaccination stations are not far away.   However, the recent rise is of concern and ministers will be meeting tomorrow to discuss measures to be taken.

Sorry for your grand-daughter who must be so disappointed.

@Nanny Beach - when I do something for Possum and she forgets to say Thank You I just say "Thank you mummy" in her hearing.   Works a treat.   Try it and see how they react or just say No next time and no, do not cry in front of your neighbour.  Say No to him too.

No @Obelixx, French cases are rising. Tonight the figures for new cases are -
    France 30454, UK 42484, Germany 54268.

I have to go to France anyway, need my booster jab on the 8th.

    Morning all.
I know I have a limited repertoire, but my second cauli/ broccoli cheese was even better than the first.
A friend suggested I added a teaspoon of mustard and it was yummity yum.

  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️

I agree @Hostafan1 … a teaspoon of mustard in a cheese sauce is a great addition … we’re having cauliflower cheese and jacket potato for supper this evening. 😋

And once you’ve mastered the cheese sauce you can make macaroni cheese … or put some over a piece of baked or grilled cod, a sprinkle of grated cheese and pop it under the grill to brown 😋
