It was cold here this morning but no frosts yet.

Had a long chat with daughter on phone this morning. She's getting on with the paperwork and financial arrangements for her divorce.

Been to Morrisons for food and up the high street for Christmas cards.

Glad your bood tests were OK @Lizzie27 Ā

    Gosh @didyw, you never stop.

  • Hello all,

Had a good long read back, but now not much time to post - wages need paying this evening and I have been baking Christmas Cakes and Puddings all day so haven't had a moment, also need to source Christmas Table cloths PDQ, we have far more tables now than we last 'did ' Christmas or the Winter Festival?? We have a Christmas Craft Market on the terrace this weekend so I am hoping my catering supplier can deliver quickly, I so wish I could sew.Ā

Glad to hear you are all ok (ish) sorry to hear about your daughter @Busy-Lizzie, I always got the impression all yours were very happy, what a shame. :(

@Hostafan1 nice to hear you are coping despite dodgy cars, cooking skills definitely seem to be improving. :)

Right, sorry, have to go,Ā  take care all, I do keep popping in but all a bit hectic. I have as many orders for Christmas baking as last year, but this time of course the Tearoom is open as well, and still busy.... a lot of early mornings and late nights.Ā

    Good evening all.Ā

@Hostafan1, when my old Fiesta was hit, the repairs would cost more than it was worth but I was able to arrange with my ins. company to keep the car as it was still safe to drive and they paid me the salvage value, can't remember how much but it was worth having. I then had to get the car checked and passed by the DVLA which cost around £57. Depends on what needs doing to yours I suppose but you might want to look into it. Is that your only transport?

Evening all.Ā  Been out at patch all day - committee meeting followed by usual gathering.
Mostly good fun but we have one new member who is endlessly negative and demands a lot of attention and it would appear we also have someone who is light-fingered and that will require a presidential email to all.Ā  Not fun.

It has been cold with a norty northerly today but we've had sunshine after a damp night so a good day.Ā  More of the same tomorrow and Wednesday but without the wet nights.

I hope all goes well @didyw.Ā  Ā Sounds like daughter 2 has gone pro-active @Busy-Lizzie.Ā  Power to her elbow!Ā  Ā You only need one car at a time @Hostafan1 but a shame all the same.

have a lovely evening everyone.Ā  Keep warm and safe.

Morning all, dishwasher done clothes removed from airer. My cuppa wasn't quite stone cold! I did tell the dogs they'd have to wait for breakfast.we have to keep the bedroom door open so our 15 year old dog can go out for a pee. The almost full moon was blasting it's beams through the spare room window next door, had to get out and close the blind. It was very light before 7 today. SamšŸ’—. Greatful we can chat about such things on here, often easier than real live life. I have been feeling down now and then over a few months. Had a crying etc meltdown last week, only the second in 30 odd years. Well that hubby has witnessed. He said he doesn't know whats got "into" me! Well, because I hold the family together,I'm human,I don't go round weeping and wailing normally. Told my friend I go out with, she said 'oh,you cried because you were angry", this is the woman who cried at the begging of lockdown because she couldn't get her hair done!) Said no because I was upset. She changed hairdresser when we unlocked,I asked her sometimes had she had her hair done, knowing full well she must have, she denied it. Then a couple of weeks ago, told me she HAD to because said hairdresser needed the money. So she was obviously doing a lot of folks hair! She thinks it's "very strange" I have to wait till January,I'm sure that gals will agree that's the sign of a good popular hairdresser. If they can fit you in,in a couple of days why aren't they busy!! Hope you will forgive the moan. I just want a bit of TLC, can't discuss with hubby,I know what he will say
  • Good morning all 😊 ā˜•ļøĀ

I’m sorry you’re feeling a bit grim at the moment @Nanny Beach … you do seem to have a lot on your plate so no wonder it ā€˜gets to you’ from time to time. šŸ¤—Ā

Thinking too of @SamBevington today as she has the medical appointment she’s been anxious about.Ā

It’s chilly out there this morning, but I don’t think we’ve had a frost …

FeelingĀ  more "grim" now while typing I forgot my porridge which burnt. It's not my work load, used to do all that plus working full-time. In a nutshell I want people to say thank you,and a couple of quite simple things I would have liked to have been done for me to have actually been done. Relatives related!! Hubby would just say, Don't do anything for them then, not that simple

Beginning to feel a bit more human again. Ā Spent all yesterday in bed with fever, aches and a vicious headache - which I hope is a sign that my booster is working. Ā Not much fun.

Planning a quiet day before heading up to littlest chicklets this evening. Ā Mr C has made her a bookshelf and I have curtains to hang for her. Ā Will be watching Bake Off tomorrow- so no spoilers please šŸ™šŸ»

Good that daughter is taking action @Busy-Lizzie, but guess she will have some tough times ahead, poor girl. Ā And sorry your patch ladies are not behaving with dignity @Obelixx Ā - what a shame. Ā Keep meaning to ask whether Possum’s Edinburgh trip gave her confidence a bit of a boost?

    Morning all.

Sorry you've been feeling so poorly @chicky.Ā

No spoilers for me either for Bake Off. OH isn't keen on it so I don't watch it in the evening.

Looks sunny outside but I bet it's chilly, still no frost though.
