    Good morning all.

Could be a reasonably nice day today - too soon to tell yet.

6°C this morning but it doesn't seem cold.  I had the house insulated in February this year under the government scheme at 1 euro. It has certainly made a difference by about 2°C maybe a bit more.  We'll see over the festive period.   I set the heating temperature for 15°C at night from 10pm to 7pm but it is already 19.7°C inside.

@SamBevington Will be thinking of you tomorrow for the results.  Please let us know - well, if you want to.
@Pat E   I hope you got your washing dry.
@PeggyTX  Your Jalapeño Burgers (no bun) were delish.    I accompanied them with a Cilantro and Mint "Sauce" .

Gym trial session this morning.  Suffered a bit with tender thighs yesterday!!

I you all have a pleasant day.

Tui, i ended up bringing them in to an inside drying frame where they can dry overnight. 😡. Anyway, more cold smrrr outside this afternoon, so they’ll be ok by tomorrow. So, irritating.

Looks like a quiet evening for us. Hubby had to buy a new battery for the tractor, so he spend some time in one of the  paddocks  and it’s looking much better. However, it meant that he didn’t get his afternoon nap, so I’m being very quiet for a while. 🙄😁

  • Morning everyone,  nice bright start here.  Managed some gardening yesterday.  Noticed the soil at the base of patio is very wet and sticky.  Might need to think about putting some extra drainage in !

Good morning all, cold here with mist not sure whether the sun will show today. OH managed to get the grass cut over the weekend after finding an almost flat tyre on the sit on mower, very annoying as it's parked in a shed down a slope and no manual pump, so managed to get the car near enough to use the pump from there. Otherwise a quiet WE.
    Catch you all later.

Good afternoon folks. A chilly but sunny start today and it's still sunshining now. I'm pleased I walked to the G.Ps and back again this morning - about 2 miles, so just relaxing after lunch now. Even more pleased that my blood tests came back all A1 and had a long chat with my lovely GP. She is organising some more routine tests just to eliminate everything she can think of but is now tending to blame IBS for my symptoms.
I'm not convinced but will wait and see.

Thankfully , OH who had driven down to Dorset to look at yet another old car, decided it wasn't worth the sale price and wasn't in good condition. Phew, a narrow escape. I didn't think the timing was at all good in view of his mobility problems so I'm glad he backed out.  I'm pleased he enjoyed the drive though in good sunny weather, gave the car a good blow out and got away from me for a bit. Always a good idea for retired couples I reckon.

Hope your tests come back tomorrow okay as well @SamBevington. Good luck.

Afternoon all.  The days start getting lighter from now on.  Had a very pleasant walk on the Common with the family yesterday - until the last bit when we got pelted with hailstones.  And a nice roast lunch in the golf club afterwards, although it did rather remind us all of attending events in my parent's bowls club and it all seemed a bit old-fashioned.
Just had a look around at my various pots and things and feel bad because I just haven't had the time to take more cuttings and generally sort things out.  Flat out now until after the 5th Dec. when we have the Christmas Street Market - which I am organising!  Bring back lockdown and another year off from organising stuff!  (Ducks - only kidding!).

On the car front: hubby's car is officially" beyond economic repair "
Kinda poetic they're coming to the end of their lives together.

    Hello.

Chilly here. We definitely did the right thing making a Winter snug - warms up and stays cosy much better than the lounge.

Hugs and cuppas to anyone who needs.

Tonight is chicken dinner leftovers night (arguably as good as the roast dinner) - I like a big bubble and squeak fry-up and OH likes it in sandwiches.

My garden and I live in South Wales.
