You don't have to use chickpeas, but they add protein. You can stir in cream or coconut cream instead of yoghurt. You can use tinned tomatoes or even a squirt of tomato paste. Many recipes can be adapted to what you have in the cupboard.

As you know, I'm a "fly by the seat of my pants" kinda guy, so I'll have a rummage and experiment. If it's vile, it's only me eating it.

Oh, you saw it, I added that bit to my post on the previous page @Hostafan1, because the page turned. Recipe on previous page. It won't be vile - unless you burn it!  ;)

    • Evening all, we had a very nice pub lunch out as well, near Devizes, an old canalside one where the narrow boats often tie up.  Met up with 6 of our old car club members for the first time since the summer and had a good natter. I had my usual small gammon, egg & chips and OH fancied their 'Henry' beefburger which he said was very good. My apple pie and custard dessert though was rather larger than anticipated so I'm still feeling full and OH is asleep on the sofa.
Those shop windows look magical @chicky. Hope the squash curry turns out well @Hostafan1

I don't get excited by the whole Xmas thing and refuse to even think about it until mid December.

I do a curry with butternut, sweet or ordinary potato and cauliflower.  As @Busy-Lizzie says - fry spices first then add onions - water - s & p - and then whatever vegetables you like.  Check out Reza @Hostafan ,  he always gives you the base for your curries.

Hello you two,, I’m here, but knitting and watching tv.

That was the message I sent yesterday. Found it still waiting to be posted 🙄🙄

light rain here. Another inside day by the look of it. Picked a handful of strawberries while out checking the rain gauge. A couple had been investigated by snails, but I’ve washed them. Might cook them up a bit before eating.

    Good morning!

And to you @Pat E  Good afternoon.

Although it is grey - there is no wind and I can see that the olives that have fallen off the tree are just not going to get up and organise themselves.  So I'd better do it.  My "task" for today!

I am going to try @PeggyTX recipe for the hamburger patties today.  I will substitute fresh coriander bought at yesterday's market instead of parsley - just for an "exotic" touch!!  And may be light on the Jalapeno peppers.  More cauliflower from the garden - phew, at least we are keeping the pipes clear! https://www.lesrecettesdecaty.com/fr/recettes/accompagnements/chou-fleur-en-salade-a-la-grecque/

Enjoy your Sunday and enjoy that little Sauvignon Blanc - well chilled!!

Morning all,up at 6, amazing day, not  a cloud, windy perfect washing/drying weather. Obelixx thinks I have a lot of washing for 2 people, average of every 4 weeks, there's 4of us plus dog blankets. I'm on MN as I expect lots of you know. Someone asked about helping the planet. I put the same as I did on here. Someone else complaining their washing machines only last a couple of years, well, sit down, some families of 4 do TWELVE washloads a week, some with 4 kids,NINTEEN!! Most don't bother to dry outside. I had 4 kids, used towelling nappies, never did anything like this amount. My last washing machine lasted over 12 years, not sure exactly how long. Apart from undies,we don't change clothes daily, towells daily.
