Hello all .... my very best wishes to your father @Ante for his operation ... I belong to a family with 'bad backs' many of whom have had operations ... my very best wishes to him for a speedy recovery and an improved quality of life. Lovely photos ... thanks for sharing
Today seems very calm ... I had thought it was going to be wet and windy like yesterday, but that phase seems to be over ... there's even a hint of brightness in the sky.
Have a lovely weekend everyone

I've bought a Montana Rubens Superba @Songbird-1 Its a pretty light pink. I'm going to put near a corner by the fence, to climb up and then along a little way. Will keep it under control as its a bit of a rambling one. Glad you had a good night's sleep. I think the same when I wake up, it seems so dark, although I think it's starting to help me sleep better. I do hope I haven't jinxed things now! 🤦♀️ I agree about masks, people should be wearing them all the time while out and on transport. This week I've noticed there's not so many people wearing them as before.
Good Morning Hazel & Dove, Sorry Hazel I got your jab day wrong, I’m glad you had a better night. I meant to ask did your Physalis ever come back? Mums didn’t unfortunately, Dove Sounds a promising start to the day hope it stays dry and bright, Have a good Saturday everyone.
Morning all. Cloudy and grey start to the day but at least it's not raining😎
I'm 27 (yet again!) today so looking forward to being taken out to lunch at a pub we've been meaning to try for a while. A starter of gin cured salmon has my name written all over it! (Note to self: stop planning what you're going to eat weeks in advance...😁)
LB - good to hear Lily is ok🙂
BL - glad you made it safely. I forget about the time difference between here and France - I think the lighter mornings / darker evening differences are much more noticeable at this time of year.
Right, time for coffee then think we're heading in to town to try and find a bell for my new bike - ting ting!
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
I hope that you have success getting a bell for the bike, though after today's bit of news about cyclists being driven off the road by bike thieves you might be as well getting a loud alarm and some pepper spray as well as the bell. Have a super birthday!
I decided to chance a Lily's TV event and am keeping a weather eye open but wet cloth things are blowing nicely in the breeze.
