  • Aww @Chivetalking yes agree discarded face masks. πŸ™„ Haven't seen chewing gum stuck anywhere for awhile......famous last words πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈΒ
But really hate the 'chanking' sound of people chewing it.....and with their mouths open 😫 Why people hang dogpoo bags on trees  is beyond me, disgusting 🀒
Glad you were able to see your mum, bet she absolutely loved seeing you.Β

Good morning Chive and Hazel. Oh my goodness SGL, I agree completely about the chewing noises and mouth open. There used to be a rugby league manager - who now reports on TV who did that and I had to look away - totally disgusting. I think chewing gum is disgusting full stop!
Hazel, I did know that about the masking tape but thank you for kindly thinking of giving that tip to me. Hope you are successful in your cardi hunt.

2nd cuppa has sorted me out 😊
  • Hehe @Chivetalking I was thinking I was doing the same when I mentioned chewing gum πŸ˜‰ I'm sure we can have our own little grumbles too at times πŸ˜‚Β

    Afternoon all.

LB, good luck with a drilling. Have a nice time with your friend.

I'm finished with work for today. My father's operation is postponed till tomorrow. Apparently, they have a lot of problems with covid patients.
It's sunny and windy day, and it's not pleasant be outside. I have no obligation for afternoon so it will be nice, restful one.

Afternoon all. Back from my friend's and mission accomplished.
Ante I am so sorry to hear that your Dad's operation has been put back a day. I do hope it goes ahead as planned tomorrow. It has been quite pleasant here today but started raining as soon as I started for home.
@Songbird-1 I did not know that tip about dunking nails in water first though but I'll file that for further usage. I learned all my DIY stuff from my Dad. My grandfather was a real handy man too and he used to repair all the leather shoes in the family (not needed nowadays of course) but he taught me about rubbing candle wax down the threads he used for stitching as this help them to slide easily through the leather. We still have his old cast iron last somewhere - probably being used as a doorstop!

Hello all, sorry I'm late. We are sharing OH's laptop. I have my phone but it has French spellcheck, very frustrating, and I can't workout how to change it.

I've spent most of the day attacking 2 honeysuckles and an overgrown Albertine rose. The roses didn't get pruned last year as I wasn't allowed to leave France because of Covid.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

My Mum and Dad had an Albertine rose in their garden Busy and it was an absolute brute - really thorny. I am hoping my brain will stay awake long enough for the quizzes tonight.
