    Good morning all.

My Day 2 Covid test was void (did the lab make a mess of it?), so I've just been for a test in town, which was negative. Don't want to self-isolate today as OH is taking me out to lunch, late birthday treat.

Yesterday a squiggly floater appeared in my right eye, haven't had one before. They are quite common in older people but can also be a symptom of a detached retina so I may get it checked.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Good aftenoon all, Hazel, love your picture. I guess that 23 has worn you out twerking! Hoping we hear some good news from Ante later. Biglad, I'm glad that you didn't have to sort out the non payments before your time but I feel very sorry for those who are still waiting for their money. The wind has been pretty vicious here - quieter now but on checking the garden I cannot see any touble in the plant pot area and I've cut back most of my perennials so no damage there. Busy I hope that you have had a lovely belated birthday lunch with your OH and I think you are very wise in having the 'floater' looked at.

Busy I have a lot of floaters too . Optician checks them . So far so good . I have had them since I was a teenager .
I was coming down the bedroom steps about an hour ago when my feet went from under me and I bounced down the steps . I was looking where I was going and I didn’t go dizzy . I really don’t know how it happened. . Hips quite sore and my lower arms but I don’t think I have broken anything .Having a cuppa.

Oh Ruby. What a fright you must have got. It was like when I missed my bottom stair and tumbled over. I did laugh at the time but then realised what COULD have happened and its made me extra careful when coming down stairs now. Have another cuppa and take it easy for the rest of today. Have you any witch hazel to rub on your sore bits?

Oh, I'll have to sort it @Ladybird4 as nobody else has bothered. They're clearly not missing the money or they might have asked months ago. There's nobody benefitting from any living wage rises around here, put it that way ;)

  • LB I’ve had the lights on as well.  Have you ever done lasagne in the slow cooker, just writing a list to use mine probably start with a vegetarian sausage and butter bean casserole.

Rubee I hope the gel helps tonight.  I’m so sorry you slipped.

Chive so far so good with the booster.  I hope Hazel and LB will be okay after theirs also.  How’s Nel doing and mum.  I hope you are well.

Lily I hope you’ve had a good day and oh is feeling okay.

Busy it’s wise to check it out but hope it’s okay.  I have a few floaters too.

Hazel how is your daughter and mum doing.  I hope you’ve had a better night.

I’m washed and changed after making tea.  It’s good when you can put your Jim jams on and wind down for the evening.

LB I hope Lily and you have had a good day and that Jack will feel more comfortable and his daughter recovers well.

    Enjoy your evening everyone.

    Good evening to all.
Just received news from Hospital. Operation was well and my father will come home in three or four days.
Thank you all for support and kind wishes.

Rubee, I'm sorry to hear about your accident. Try to rest and enjoy a cup of tea.
