A very good morning RosieBB and all to follow. I agree about the chilly night!
SGL, I think Strictly's result was fair but I was staggered about the second couple in the dance off. No way should they have been there. I have been asked by my friend who I take to Canasta to go round and drill a hole into the base of a cupboard so that she can get her charger cable through to the plug access underneath. I am aiming to get there for 13:00 - she tells me she is no good in the morning. Her partner is a bit frail at the moment. I sorted out my drill and appropriate bits yesterday so I'm hoping its a simple job. I hope that you all have lovely Mondays.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Morning everyone, @bluebellsinthewild I've been awake since 6 but have only just come down for a cup of tea. I'm also on the sofa now watching the news. Need to pop to the shops to get some milk and a few other bits that didn't arrive with food delivery.
Ooh you weren't there just now LB I was very surprised when the other couple were announced to be in the dance off. But the right couple went home. Hope the drilling job is an easy one. Have a good day everyone.
Good morning @star gaze lily. There was a lovely bit on the news this morning about triplets in Nottingham who have been litter picking since they were 6. I think they are 8 now. Their council supplied them with all the gear and they have been recognised by the Government and will attend the COP26 conference in Glasgow. All praise to them. It never fails to astound me how some people discard litter without even thinking about the effect it may have on the environment. What could be easier than just taking it home to put in their own bins? Sorry, mini rant over.

Totally agree LB, one of my pet hates. I've seen in the past people dropping things on the ground when there's a bin a few steps away 🤷🏻♀️ Beaches are one of the places that people leave rubbish behind, sometimes even in a plastic bag. So easy to take to the nearest bin or as you say straight home with them. My rant over too 😉
Good morning everyone. Lily I slept well ,must have been very tired. .I really need a cuppa .Bluebell I hope you slept .Enjoy your spot of diy LB . I agree one of my pet hates ,seeing people dropping litter .
LB I hope it’s a simple job for you with easy access. You are a handy lady to know. I also saw the triplets. They were lovely and very encouraging. Lily you were an early bird. I hope you manage to get what you need. I also feel annoyed when there is unnecessary litter. There needs to be more incentives. When I was at school we had the wombles and were encouraged and did litter picking.
Good Morning Bluebells, SGL, LB, Rubee & Dove and all to follow, bright and crisp this morning, Bluebells I hope you slept through last night, the slow cooker book is a good idea it’s nice to have some recipes to follow, SGL I hope you can pick up those items you need locally, just having my first cuppa. Yes thank you I did see mum yesterday, helped to cook her dinner and do a bit more gardening, LB That is a good deed to help out your Canasta friend, hope the drilling isn’t too tricky to do. ✋ I remember the keep Britain tidy campaign and the signs were everywhere, littering is dreadful the amount of disposable masks dropped is appalling, chewing gum & dog poo bags hung in bushes or on the pavement all so unnecessary 😤
Rubee Hope you and OH slept well, Dove Your dinner yesterday sounded delicious, I am considering putting my wet things out it does look promising today, Hazel I hope you’re not feeling any ill effects from the jab yesterday it all sounded a bit of a muddle at the surgery, I hope it’s better next time. Think I need another brew, have a good day everyone.
