    Evening all,

It's been grim here even without the added factor of it going dark an hour earlier. I nipped out whilst Marti was having a break to plant some bulbs - tulips and hyacinth. First time for both so looking forward to what the spring brings.

LB A funny cartoon 🧙‍♀️ Son didn’t leave until 8pm and has just arrived safely thank goodness, yes I’m back to school tomorrow 😩
Bluebells Sorry to hear you were feeling light headed earlier, as LB said it may be the lack of sleep is contributing towards that. Take care, hope you are well rested this evening. I’m sorry to hear Rubee is feeling bruised from her recent fall, hope she felt better after having a relaxing day, best wishes,
Ante Hope the weather is a little kinder to you than the forecast for tomorrow, enjoy a free day,
@Topbird That is so sad I’m very sorry to learn that you have had such awful news recently. What a terrible shock with your friend who is so ill with Pneumonia & the young lad now fighting for his life. It is hard even if you are not directly involved it still affects you, they are in your thoughts so I can understand you taking some time away. All the best to you, hope there is some encouraging news soon.
    Goodnight everyone
  • Hi everyone,  we had horrendous weather this morning, so very windy and absolutely hammering down till after lunch. Eased off and then sun and showers in the afternoon.
@Songbird-1 so sorry to hear you had such trouble at your doctor's surgery again. But glad you had your vaccine in the end. Do hope you haven't had any side effects.
@Ladybird4 sounds like an horrendous journey home after yours. Good to hear no side effects so far.  🤞 you don't get any.
OH was ok today after his, just felt a bit tired yesterday afternoon. So that's not too bad.
@Topbird sorry you're feeling a bit low these last few days. Hope your friend gets better soon. Don't think I'd want to be in a Covid ward, especially after being so ill. So very sad about the young lad, hope things improve for him.
@Chivetalking hope you get a good night's sleep tonight. You must be very tired after staying up waiting for your son and the clocks going back too.
Clocks changing messes me up for days, really wish they'd leave them.

Saw the results show @Ladybird4 it's a shame, but I think the right person went home tonight.
Will say goodnight everyone, sleep well and sweet dreams.
  • @Topbird so sorry to hear your news.  I very much hope they both pull through from their illness.  I think it is hard to motivate and make plans for the future when the people you care about are seriously unwell.  I really do hope you have some positive news.  Take care of yourself in the meantime.  Goodnight everyone.  Chive hope you have a good day at school tomorrow.
  • My turn, been awake for ages, I really don't like this hour change. Hope you're all sleeping. Will try to get back to sleep, see you later.

Good morning SGL and all to follow.

SGL, I hope that you are sleeping while I'm writing this. This hour change is totally unnecessary.

T'bird, I'm so sorry to hear about your friends. So sad news. I hope so that both of them will recover.

LB, how is Jack managing? I know that he is tested but somehow missed that he is tested positive.

Here is grey, rainy morning, but quite warm. Few moments ago I saw hedgehog in my front garden. My cats are quite amused.

    White rabbits everyone!
@Topbird, your post wasn't there when I signed out last night. How absolutely heartbreaking for you, your OH and all those close to you. Sometimes life just hits you in the face and your brain cannot rationalise all the input. I am so, so sorry to hear all your news. I sincerely hope that your friend gets through the pneumonia and is back home as soon as possible surrounded by those who love her. Somehow it seems all wrong that someone as young as 19 is so critically ill. Having said that, and coincidentally, I received a message late last night telling me that a friend's daughter has the same condition - only recently diagnosed and she is just 13. It all seems so unfair.
