Good morning all. Lovely time at Maisie’s party and I got a lot of trick or treaters until about 8pm then the weather got really nasty.
Lots to do today got people coming for tea, ( it’s not posh enough to be a dinner party) so house needs attention. Trying to sort a Christmas meal with “old girls” from work it’s already difficult to coordinate everyone and there are only 6 of us!

Good morning everyone.bluebell you are up early again .Lily I am pleased that you had a better night .LB I agree we have a beautiful country. Agree also about the architecture, prefer the old buildings .
  • Morning @Ladybird4 @debs64 and @Rubee
I agree we have a very beautiful country. Stunning scenery and great old buildings. It always amazes me about the architecture of the old buildings and homes compared to (some of) the 'boxes' or ugly boring buildings that are built now.
Sounds like you had a lovely Halloween @debs64
  • Good Morning All, it’s a lovely bright crisp morning. Going to see mum, so I’ll wish you all a pleasant day and catch up later on 👋
  • Hello all … glad you had a lovely trip out Topbird … Suffolk is beautiful and although I’ve been transplanted here, it’s where my roots are.
We’ve had our first frost of the year … I shall get the dahlias in.
Hope everyone has a good day …

    Morning all,

I'm getting really lazy - the alarm now goes off at 7.45am :)

Got an e-mail yesterday which suggested that I may be able to finish on Friday. Can't tell you how excited I am :p Although it would be financially sensible to try and spin it out for a week or two longer, sod that!

It's a bit frosty here too, we had a thickish  fog this morning but it's starting to lift. And sun is shining. Will get out in the garden later and rake some more leaves up 🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁
Enjoy your day with your mum Chive, sending very best wishes to her.
  • Morning @Songbird-1 hope your achey arm is better today.  I think they said it will probably be a yearly  vaccine like the flu one.
Hope you don't have to wait too long for the chair to be delivered.

Afternoon all. Had a leisurely stroll around 'sco this morning to get some vital supplies (mostly Lily related). In answer to T'bird's question the other day about the early advertising of C*******s, it annoys me very much and today - without any warning - wham, bam, in your face Ma'am, I'd hardly got into 'sco before the annual grotto smacked me right between the eyes! I was expecting maybe some fireworks, cinder toffee and parkin to be honest. Not to worry - I was able to ignore all that.
Hazel and SGL, I had a look at my two little cards given when I attended for my vaccines and they were identical so obviously they are just saving on staionery. The number 1 on the newest card had been scribbled out and turned into a B (presumably for booster) and a number 3 written underneath. I agree with Hazel's OH and you SGL.
Happy to say I have had nil adverse effects to my booster and stiff arm is back to normal.

  • Glad you're  feeling better @Songbird-1
Good chair arrived early and you could get out to the shops.  What will you be knitting Hazel.
I've been in the garden too today raking leaves. Its been a lovely sunny day and not too chilly.  In now having a cup of tea and a biscuit or two 😉
Have a restful afternoon Hazel, hope the new chair is comfy.....or is it for OH 😉
