I watched a programme recently and there's a data storage unit outside Dublin which uses more electricity than the rest of the city put together.
All those millions of crappy photos sent off " to the cloud " will be consuming power  FOREVER.

Interesting. I was reading somewhere about how a large part of Iceland’s economy ( the country, not the food store! ) is data storage, because the climate makes it easier to keep the computers cool.

World leaders aren't acting on climate change quickly enough, says Boris while flying out to Rome ahead of flying to Glasgow. I'm not sure which shred of credibility he's borrowed to wave about but I suspect many eyes are being rolled.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Where’s a Boris Bike when he needs one?   Don’t say that was all a charade … 😮

A couple of neighbours have put up 'No treat or treating here please' signs on their doors already. I googled them to find one to print off and I'm amazed by the number of them that are designed with a completely black or orange background. They look great but I'm not wasting all my printer ink on something that makes it even harder to see in the dark. I'm not sure how many kids will be out but a lot of people seem to be going overboard with the decorations this year.

Given that they've just reduced duty on domestic flights, they're probably claiming they're saving money?
