  • Isn't it strange how the new curmudgeon thread has failed to be taken up on favour of the old one? Has it happened before?

Come on! Where are the curmudgeon?

This is the real problem now @fidgetbones. My sis was fortunate that she was in a position to go private, and even then, because of the timing, it was delayed, although not by much. She'd have been housebound if she'd still been waiting on the standard NHS list. Fortunately, she isn't on her own, but for anyone in that position, it doesn't bear thinking about.
I hope hubby is doing ok. I totally agree - being in his own bed is far better, and far less stress for you too.  Love to both of you x

Has it failed?  We’re on Page 9 of curmudgeonly posts already … creating it was a good way to keep ‘a corner’ for a particular discussion while still allowing the usual more random curmudgeons to be curmudgeonly. I think it’s worked 😊

  • You have to be a real curmudgeon to complain that there aren't enough curmudgeons!

It hasn't failed.  When I last checked the old thread was mainly continuing on one subject.

Hi, @LG_, @didyw, and others. If you are getting Netflix for £5.99 that is a great deal, however the new current rates for a standard package are stated as being £9.99. I know there was a massive price hike for 2021. It might be worth a quick check of your account as they may be taking £9.99 without letting you know. I only say this because they put me on a tariff that I did not ask for without letting me know!  :/

Yes, I had checked quite recently and it's still £5.99 for me. Thanks.

A friend saw this on Fbook ...

"If we wanted to boldly send billionaires where no billionaires have been before, we could have just sent them to the tax office.

no point sending them to Tory central office. They've all been there with their dodgy donations
