    I bet they could all speak English if they wanted to. However much it peeves them , it's the lingua franca . After all, it's even spoken in the moon!

    I presume Greta Thunberg either walked all the way to the UK or came by yacht.

    Just been over to the garage to get something from the freezer and it's NOT frozen. The whole contents will have to be dumped. ( including the freezer )

    the freezer has been playing up for a while. It's about 20 years old.

    Are you saying public transport wouldn't run if she wasn't on it?

    Oh well ... you can't really complain at that.  If you think of replacing it with an upright remember that many of them won't operate in cold temperatures as they're made for being in houses where the ambient temperature is higher.  We had to get rid of our Hotpoint upright when we came here ... we replaced it with a BEKO which works at much lower ambient temperatures.

    Oh well ... you can't really complain at that.  If you think of replacing it with an upright remember that many of them won't operate in cold temperatures as they're made for being in houses where the ambient temperature is higher.  We had to get rid of our Hotpoint upright when we came here ... we replaced it with a BEKO which works at much lower ambient temperatures.  
    I've been aiming to " run it down " for some time. Still V annoying to have to dump the food.
