I've a friend who thought she'd use clippers at home.
She started with her Husband, them moved onto her 3 sons.
Only once she'd practiced on them, did she attempt the spaniel.
    Wonderful!

Is it just me or does this sentence from today’s Guardian newspaper seem somewhat hair raising?

With nearly 11 million cats living in about one in four households, they are Britain’s most popular pet.

    Do editors no longer edit?

Can you imagine the amount of **** 11 million cats coming out of every 4th house would create!

So that’s about one cat per 6 million people,  my money would be on the people reducing, not the cats.

Nice to see the Pope coming out with a statement urging 'radical action' on climate change. Apparently this doesn't include him making any radical changes to the Catholic views on contraception though so I guess over population doesn't need tackling.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

IMHO religion has been the source of many of the world's problems, but never part of the solution

@Lyn I think pansyface was reading the sentence as written, which suggests that a quarter of UK households each has 11 million cats living in it. There are about 30million households so 7.5 million households (a quarter) x 11 million cats = 82.5million cats in the UK. Or rather more than one each.

Nor is he making any proposed editorial changes to the Bible to suggest that perhaps man doesn't have 'dominion over all the earth' to do with it as he pleases.
