My hair started falling out while I was a teenager. Luckily it was the unruly type of hair that didn't take well to any kind of style so I shaved it all off and didn't really miss it. I've saved a fortune in haircuts and shampoo but had to invest in hats  :|

I forbid my OH to go to the cheaper Turkish barber in the village as they absolutely massacre his hair and it looks awful. He now goes to the much better men's hairdresser/barber a bit further away.

My curmudgeon today is that I've walked nearly two miles to the local hospital to have my hearing aid mended by them, (following two postal packets of spares sent over the last three weeks) only to discover within five seconds, much to my embarrassment, that I had tried to fit the wrong end to the 'elbow'.  The girl did say very kindly that I wasn't the only one and it should have been fitted together before they sent it to me. I thought afterwards that the bits could easily be colour coded together to make it easier.

I got OH to cut the back of my hair during lockdown, and he didn’t do a bad job at all. He didn’t get on very well with my hairdressing scissors, so used my big dressmaking ones instead. I have always had to trim my fringe between trips to the hairdresser as it grows so fast, so I just included the side bits that I can see easily. That’s been saving me at least £250 a year. I’m not planning on returning to the salon anytime soon, although if I want anything fancier than a short, modified Purdey style bob, I’ll not risk any DIY. Maybe I should have put this in the reasons to be cheerful thread.

OH hardly has any hair so just go over it with the clippers when needed, I have saved him goodness knows how much over the years. I haven't been to the hairdressers since before the pandemic and it now needs a good cut, OH says he "could have a go" I have seen what he is like with the edging shears in the garden

I need to take the dog out before dinner but, even though it's pissing it down, people are still setting off fireworks. It's not even that dark yet :|

Moira does mine, but then it is a No.1 all over.

I cut hubby's dreadlocks.  He has the thin neat type, shoulder length, so the only rule is cut them all a slightly different length so it doesn't look like a wig!
