I rarely iron … best shirts, linen trousers and tops … that’s about it … not tee shirts But it’s nice to know your OH still noticed what you’re wearing @Hostafan1, even if it is to point out your shortcomings 😉 🤗

@Busy-Lizzie - my optician told me to see him immediately if I got any floaters in my eyes.  Haven't so far (though I seem to remember having them when young).
Lovely flowers @Pat E - looking forward to more signs of spring on your side of the world as we go further into autumn and winter.
My replacement tree (for the viburnum that got honey fungus) arrived today.  Not planted yet.  I have another apple that is dying so need to get that chopped up to retrieve the stake for the new tree.  Another apple ordered - along with another stake. But oh - I have so much on at the moment - emails flying, meetings being arranged.
The new community bus makes its inaugural journey tomorrow.  I was hoping to ride it just to see but don't have time.  Hope it gets some passengers!

Thank you @punkdoc and @didyw for your advice. I rang 2 opticians, one was too busy, the other can see me tomorrow.

The lab sent another result for my Day 2 test this evening, negative, so what was that first result about?

OH and I had a lovely meal at lunchtime. We had our favourite table by the window and sat next to each other on a settle with a soft comfy cushion.

    Good morning folks.

Last of the good weather as the weekend predicts rain.  Can't say "hooray" as I see from your weather report, heavy rain is expected in SW Scotland and N. England.  Stay safe.

@Busy-Lizzie  I do hope your appointment at the optician's helps you.
@didyw  We have a community bus for "seniors" which works very well.  It takes people back and forth to the village centre on market days, to the cinema, cemetery and a couple of local supermarkets. The users have to phone to reserve the "stop".   I hope yours works as well.

I rarely iron, but fold the clothes straightaway and having a conservatory get them warmed and aired (in winter)  before putting them away.

Today is the feast day of Saint Simon:
A la Saint-Simon, les raves jusqu'au timon (les raves are root vegetables)
A la Saint-Simone, il faut avoir rentré ses pommes.

So apple pie, apple cake and apple tart to do!

    Have a pleasant day.

    Good morning all.

If it's going to be bright and dry here I'll be gardening this afternoon.

Awful goings on not that far from us … but I’m amazed at the resourcefulness of our Norfolk police … I know they’re short of manpower these days but who’s idea was it to recruit wildlife to help?  https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/crime/multiple-stabbing-at-a-house-in-norwich-8445904
