Just popped on here before bed.  Can already feel the atmosphere is lighter and there is fresh air blowing through the forum since a certain someone has been banned!

The defibrillators come with scissors to cut away clothing, a razor to clean up a too hairy chest and a face mask to put on the victim to ake breath transfer easier but the rhythm of Staying Alive means 60 compressions a minute and I can't see anyone keeping up that pace for the 5, 10 or 15 mins we'd have to wait for the ambumance or paramedics to arrive and take over.

Good morning all 😊 ☕️ … looking forward to a lovely day 😎…. however I think that not even ducks would say it’s lovely weather 🦆 🦆 🦆
    absolute stair rods here 🌧.

OH has to go for his flu jab before work … I’ve offered to take him to both in the car but he says he’ll be fine cycling. He has bright yellow waterproof trousers.

I won’t be planting bulbs today, thats for sure …
ive a sausage casserole to make for supper, a Sainsbugs order to compile and a pair of linen trousers to iron and put away … it probably won’t be the weather for them again for a while.

I dusted etc yesterday so today I might spend some time getting the muscle-memory back on track for that lacy knitting …. I might find a film to watch … or binge on some recorded Whitehouse & Mortimer ❤️

This week next year we’ll be in Cornwall again. We couldn’t book the cottage any earlier … and we booked next years stay back in July!

CPR 100 compressions a minute, yes it's exhausting, before you start, after assessment for yourself, screaming for help, hopefully there's some one in earshot!

    Well done @SamBevington :)

Sorry to hear about your cat, @BenCotto. I hope it's better news than you feared.

Big day out here. Taking the car in for its MOT. I don't think it's done 200 miles since the last one. Have you charged the battery? I asked OH yesterday - yeah yeah it'll be fine. So now I'm here while we wait for the battery to charge up  :#
It's our wedding anniversary today - 24 years - so I've taken the morning off and we'll take the dogs for a bit of a walk somewhere different from our usual tracks and muddy byways as a celebration  :)

Catch you all later - have a good day

Congratulations and many happy returns to both of you @raisingirl … I hope the dogs appreciate the special occasion 🥂 and that the cat sails through her MOT. 🤞

Morning all, raining hard here also. Heating on for the first time.
We have a defibrillator on the outside wall of the "Salle des Fetes" in our village @Obelixx which is fine if you live in the village which we don't and you have been trained to use it. Spent years in the Red Cross as well as nursing so will rely on those skills in our hamlet.
  • Morning everyone,  dry start here, not expected to last . The tree men are back,  he's been using an electric saw today,  not sure hot long that will last him.
@WonkyWomble they have been talking about a new treatment for sickle cell, just been approved for NHS use,  is your OH aware?
