Hazel, after all the upset try and unwind this evening and have a good rest. RosieBB, it was nice to get home but then I had been invited across to have a drink with Jack to celebrate his 91st birthday yesterday. I had a lovely couple of hours over there and we were reminiscing about all sorts of things from the past. I do not think that I will need rocking tonight

Evening all,ย Been feeling a bit tired since getting back from Wales.ย Had a lovely time but glad to be back home.ย Spent most of the day in the garden.ย Took down the runner beans and emptied some of the summer pots.ย Did a lot of deadheading too.ย I also cleaned out the greenhouse as the toms and cucumbers are finished now.ย Still a lot to do and loads of violas and bulbs to plant but at least I've made a start. Hugs for those who need them.ย
Evening Yvie. Good to hear that you had a nice time in Wales - didn't that time go quickly? I'm hoping to have some time in the garden tomorrow. I'm signing out for tonight so I'll see you all in the morning.

I was right about the local population - absolute numpties! One Tesco petrol station was closed when I went this afternoon. The ever so helpful staff in store shrugged their shoulders and turned back to their private conversation when I asked if they were expecting a delivery ย Not a clue if another branch (less than 3 miles away) had any fuel either.
So I was glad that I'd borrowed OH's car for football. Was far too warm for my liking but a decent game. Treated myself to a GC trip afterwards - came home with 4 Azalea. I'm sure I can find a shady spot for them
Hope that your various trials and tribulations ease and you can enjoy your Saturday evenings.
I'm looking forward to a good spell in the back garden tomorrow ย
Well I didnโt expect to be awake at this time . At 2am we had a telephone call from Jim next door . He had slipped out of bed and couldnโt get up . When we got him back into bed my OH made him a cup of tea.He refused to be checked over by a medic . We needed to see that he was alright so we have just got back . So pleased that he is ok . We are shattered .I think a ย lay in ,in the morning will be necessary .Night night .
Good morning Ruby and Biglad. Goodness me Ruby, what a guardian angel you are. I seem to think that this has happened before with Jim? I hope that he is OK and that you and your OH managed to get back to sleep. Biglad, golf would do that to me too Get your back ready for the fence wrangling.

I fell asleep watching the golf (as predicted) so I'm still downstairs and half awake now.
