@Fire - David Austin release information about their new varieties usually at the start of March I think. Around the time that the new handbooks come out, as they always include the new roses.
26th February last year was when they announced Nye Bevan
@Mr. Vine Eye, glad to hear that you and family are feeling better and now you are at the other side of it. Garden is such a blessing to have in these difficult times and specially when we need to isolate. Hope you get your sense of taste back soon.
My sense of smell still isnt back properly. I am now getting used to of it. Atleast I dont smell bad or chemical smells strongly either.
That rose of the year is looking good in some photos as I like orange but it fades out in some photos. For the name I dont like a whole sentence or phrase. They should keep it small and simple. I give nicknames to my roses with long names.
Regarding DA I used to think they always had one or the other 15% code, but looks like they dont. Yes the handbook with new rose photos and code comes in March. I am also waiting for it because I have only one in wishlist and dont feel like ordering just one with full price and postage.
I hope everyone is recovering and keeping the worst of the lurg at bay. Cold sunny days are luring us all out into the garden it seems, with the Spring bulbs starting it really is starting to feel like the new season at last.
Not wowed by the rose that would better be called Pumpkin Beth, fading orange not really my thing, it's what I dislike about the equally awfully named Easy Does It which is outstanding as a potted rose in almost every other way (scent not strong). I've had 9 months of blooms and only cut them off to prune last week.
well... Happy Spring Afternoon everyone... [I'm a late riser and it seems like Spring today].. and we all just want to get on with our lives don't we? not an easy thing to do currently..
I've just semi prepared a new pot for the latest Austin... I don't want another yellow or pink, but as we know they like to get rid of the competition when introducing new ones, and we appear to have lost Munstead and Lady Emma.. also the Chelsea Flower Show is on again and I anticipate they will want something sparkling for that.. so it better be good otherwise I shall look elsewhere.. This is just multi purpose / garden soil and leaf litter.. I ran out of John Innes.. will top up later.. 'Marie van Houtte' is my most advanced rose, foliage wise, with new growth..
yeah.. the anticipation at this time of year always sends my blood racing.. it's a clever ploy... oh Jeez, don't my paving slabs want pressure washing..
I am excited too and have a pot earmarked but yesterday ordered a Canary Bird Standard and just because it was there and @Marlorena's was so pretty a Pink Martini too.
After all the weeping standard talk I couldn't resist. This pic from The Fragrant Rose Co is what I am imagining haha
Actually was only on that site because of a certain someone's recommendation of Prince Jardinere which I really want too now. So my expectant DA pot may become unavailable soon, hurry up DA.

..Heaven help us if winter arrives in March..
Don't even know what it is yet and you've already filled the pot 😁
I would really like a new one too. I've never had a new release DA on release. As you say I'm hoping it's a nice bold colour.
