    @Lizzie27 ah good reminder thank you, i need to order some more clematis feed.

    Going to feed the roses between now and next weekend I think, the weather looks wet then which will help. I'll get the rest of the ones intended for pots in those too. They are all happily sprouting away.

    Typical! Get carried away in the warm sunshine cutting things back and then we have a hard frost overnight! Hopefully garden will have been alright as it's fairly sheltered. Forgot that it's still quite early.

    Set to be mild for the rest of the week though.

  • Here too although I did see it forecast and carried on chopping down anyway😁 It's that awkward time of the year where you either cut down and risk the frost or the crocus flower under a heap of twigs🤔

    Go through it every year, should I, shouldn't I?
    Invariably, I do
    Yet everything shrugs off any later frosts, responds well and grows again.
    Up to now anyway...
    Just another day at the plant...

    @Victoria Sponge
    .. I notice you've been really busy in your garden.   I look forward to photos of The Portland Rose...

    We are ‘enjoying’ very cold, grey and wet British-style weather at the moment. The roses are certainly appreciating the rain though. Everything is leafing up nicely except Mme. Isaac Perriere and Rose de Rescht which are only just thinking about it.

    My Italian rose order arrived, sorry, no photo, far too wet out there. Small pots and enthusiastically pruned but all - William Shakespeare 2000, Buff Beauty and Alberic Barbier - have three decent canes and buds. Now I have to set my mind to finding someone to make a large arch for AB!

    Well @JessicaS I have a badly behaved Blue for You, that tries every year to take over the world, 😁, so I hope I can tame Waltz Time too.
