Thanks @Mr. Vine Eye, I had a look at MW tonight when I got home before it got too dark. Most of this year's growth is a bit thin, not much chunky cane but nothing ventured etc so I'll see what I can do. I hope you are all feeling better soon🙂
Glad to see everyone is getting the potted offer roses delivered and everyone is pleased with them. They must have had a block send-out as I received mine today also. I thought I was just getting the potted rose but tricksy Trevor's added the two bare roots to the box also. This is great as I needed one of the roots for the back of the border and the potted for the front so I can get them all in this weekend👍 I thought the potted (first potted rose I've ever bought) looks like a smart little shape already. I also received a free slug. I didn't need one but I have space for it with my other slugs.
I missed your post earlier Omori... nice to see all the roses from TW... good specimens.. I use those grey pots for potting up bare roots sometimes.. it's surprising how long they can stay in them..
@Mr. Vine Eye Hope you recover soon. Your garden photos look very nice and cottagey. Lovely colour combination of roses along with the perennials
@Marlorena your photos as usual show an abundance of roses. I can sit looking at them for hours together. I have set some as my desktop background; hope you do not mind.
@Omori@Victoria Sponge@edhelka your selections of TW potted roses are superb :-) I'm looking forward to see your lovely photos when they bloom.
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth
Looking forward to seeing all these new roses from everyone.
I was very pleased this afternoon, first growth visible in my tulip pot - the waterlogged one that spent two weeks as a pond and had to be repotted twice. Wasn’t sure if they’d survive all that!
