    I like the loop idea. I might try that with wedding day and albertines rampant growth, or at least tie in if I can.

    ..thank you !.. a few foxgloves makes all the difference.. I especially like the white ones..

    @Fire
    .. not something I worry about, roses are very hardy including new growth.. an occasional -5 does no damage and it needs a continued freeze to take those off.. we might still get that of course... but roses have back up, each side of a shoot are 2 dormant buds, so if the shoot is lost, one or both of the other 2 will break and replace the lost shoot..  quite often, as you may have noticed, all 3 will break dormancy at the same time..

    @Fire Guess will find out soon.. every rose that I pruned has new growth.. just that CB had opened the leaves fully as compared to others..
    and Jan is so dry and cold......fingers crossed

    @Marlorena wish I was a bee in that paradise :)

    Just had a peek and wish I hadn't - so many beautiful roses! I particularly like Penny Lane which is exquisite but grows to 3 m alas. I wouldn't be able to tie it in at that height, not good on ladders any more. Anybody know if it would attach itself to a tree?
