Still hankering after a Bettys now you have jogged my memory. Mind you I don't think they did those types of cake in my childhood @Omori, though I would no doubt have joined the run on Florence the Fox if they had.
Yes @JessicaS a pack of supermarket mixed seeds that I sowed early this year. Apparently it's not a good idea to plant in manure enriched soil! They've only been flowering since well into Sept. Just as well I find the foliage attractive, they've been a dominant feature of the patio all summer, 4 plants, 6ft and, with restraints, just as wide :D

I've just noticed your post @Marlorena asking about Pheno Geno roses; I've only one, 'Pear', and to be honest it has been slightly neglected over the summer, remaining in the pot it came in. It's also been baked, and been allowed to dry out far to often, yet it has performed brilliantly flowering well with no hint of BS, or any other disease. I'll certainly consider buying more in the future.

I love your roses and your perennials @Marlorena!

a quick question for me too, for those who have Lady Emma Hamilton: how big does it grow and is t better in full sun or half-sun (only sun in the morning)?
I’ve read that in full sun its flowers get a little dull, maybe @Nollie can help me more here, I think we have similar “force” of sun. Thanks!

What is the white berry @Tack? I hope it is not snowberry. I had hard time digging one large shrub and have to keep pulling off new plants from root runners.

    Thank you @Fire
I can't think where you see a white berry @newbie77, behind The Lark ascending is Escallonia, or maybe the mushroom in the lawn? There are several, they look like field mushrooms but I daren't risk it. As a child we picked them regularly to eat but my gran looked them over first. As to snowberry, where that yellow rose shrub is, in my first pic top right, was where a long snowberry hedge was this time last year. It will take some vigilance I know, especially as there is still some next door.
Edit I'm being paranoid checking that photo over and over in case you can see a bit I've missed :D
