You’re probably right, @Mr. Vine Eye Even the height seems to be very similar. And I really like the writer as well, so the name is a bonus.

I came off FB years ago and don't regret it one inch. Now all the social media I use is this forum.

I don’t understand why they’d send the catalogue to the social media people before they’ve officially announced it?

Instagram is really easy the way I use it.I follow 5 accounts whose pictures I want to see. That's it, I never interact or post anything.

It's to create hype with "influencers", some have thousands of followers. It's just another way of marketing. Personally, I'm more influenced to buy roses from honest reviews posted here than on any other social media. I don't trust anyone who gets paid in products or cash to review an item.

I get that if they say gush over how lovely the new rose is or something, but just posting the pic of the page seems a bit meh

I've just read that David Austin's can now ship to the E.U. market again, I wasn't aware of that..  anyone here from E.U. got a rose from DA lately..?
I hope so. I was naughty a couple of weeks ago and got my bare root sent to my parents in Uk as they wouldn’t post to EU, and I have smuggled it back over the water.
Naughty I know, but 12 months ago I could of done it legally with exactly same rose and hopefully can do so again now. the seeds I bought from the uk last year I am sowing this year, and the same seeds I can no longer buy online from the uk yet they are freely available in shops here from exact same supplier so it’s a daft situation that is due to paperwork rather than a safety aspect in a lot of instances. The joys of living in Ireland.

I spend far, far too much time communing with a screen. The last thing I want is more black mirror in my life.
