Great to see the blooms keep coming everyone. Just returned home to lots of deadheading, but will try and post some photos later.
@dabolem I have a potted LEH mostly in dappled shade, plus a trio in the ground which gets afternoon sun only. They keep (or are easy to keep) compact and don’t develop long octopus canes that many Austins do in warmer climates. I prune my trio to about 80cm high by 110cm wide. The one in the pot is about 60x60cm. The blooms get spotty and streaky in very hot weather so best not to have her in full, blazing sun!
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
Thanks @Omori and @Nollie! Then I will put my LEH in a spot where it will get only the morning sun. I hope to have some beautiful blooms to show you next year
I am so excited... I had a little windfall at the weekend [I bet on the horses and I had a decent pick up for a change]... so I've just treated myself to an expensive ornamental tree... Sorbus vilmorinii .. which will fit neatly into my narrow borders... this is an ideal small tree for the very smallest of gardens and will never get in anyone's way... I've grown it before on the south coast, full sun heavy clay, and drying winds, and it thrived, so it doesn't need moist acid conditions..
... it's Rosaceae family so I shall have to take care about rose replant but that will be ok where I'm placing it..
