Bit lively on some of the threads on the forum today!  Highly amusing.
Shortsighted of Classic FM, Nigel Kennedy has long been a bit of a maverick.  Much as I love Vivaldi and the Four Seasons, the Jimi Hendrix sounds as if it would have been quite exciting. We don't want to listen to those things we are so very familiar with all the time do we?
Damp outside today - I don't think the dribble of rain we had will have done much good at all.  Just off now to investigate other parts of the garden for the dreaded HF.

    There's none so blind etc @didyw  ;)

Nigel Kennedy has been responsible for introducing so many people to 'classical' music ... although of course that's a very misused term ... Classic FM play loads of music that doesn't fall within the strict 'Classical Period' ... I think they've shot themselves in the foot  ...The description of the piece he wanted to play sounds so interesting ... I hope I can get to hear it somehow.

I can't listen to Classic FM in December as it's full of xmas music. Traditional yes, Classical, NO WAY

@Ergates, sorry to say the M5 didn't disappoint this morning - long queues around Bristol so it took us 2 hours just to reach Taunton Deane. However although busy the rest of the journey wasn't too bad and we are now ensconced in a very luxurious small hotel with what looks like a very nice garden. We have our own private patio for outdoor breakfasts if it's warm enough.  Looking forward to dinner cooked by my daughter in a while. Haven't seen her new place yet so want to get there in daylight if we can.

It's been another gorgeous day so fingers crossed it stays that way, at least for our 25th anniversary tomorrow. Can't quite believe it, where did the time go!

  • Fingers crossed it won’t be too bad on Thursday @Lizzie27 🤞

Looks like the weather will be ok for our journey to the southwest … even if it might be a bit damp when we’re there. Plenty to see and do tho, even in damp weather.

Best wishes for your anniversary Lizzie.

Cold and windy here this morning. Another inside day then. 😁

  • Morning all,

Happy Anniversary @Lizzie27, hope it's a lovely day.

Not long now @Dovefromabove until your break.

Day off for me today, so paperwork to get on with, but lunch out somewhere I hope. My car has to have it's brake pads done this morning and then back to have it's MOT re- done (CT) in France, hopefully all will be well and it doesn't take all day.

I daren't go into the garden, I will be there all day and no paperwork will get done. I really need to catch up, the accountant keeps messaging me about missing bits so I just need to tackle it and then next week I can tackle the garden with a clear conscience.

Have a good day all, hugs to those who need them.
