I'd put the bulbs in pots and pop them in next year
    Devon.
  • Hello @sam bevingtonΒ  Β ... good to see you :)Β
Looks as if you've been busy ... I'd get the plants in first ... then the bulbs can go in drifts around/between the shrubs etc.Β  There's no huge rush for the bulbs ... I've got a load left to plant when we get back from holiday in a fortnight's time.

What an exciting opportunity @sam bevington.Β  I think given the choice and a clean palette as you have, I would put the perennials in first then the bulbs in between them.Β  That way, as the perennials start into growth they will begin to hide the dying bulb foliage and you won't be in danger of digging up bulbs.Β Β

  • You lot are such a laugh! Been to the pub today and had lunch, should have been planting but think it was the last opportunity to sit outside and enjoy the sun. P****g down late afternoon and feeling guilty having not done any planting....last year on furlough and being made redundant.....loads of time....W word is getting in the way of my garden. Hopefully promotion is on the cards so could do with some help πŸ™ how much do you pay per hour?

@SamBevington, that looks a very exciting opportunity.Β  Hope you enjoy planning it all and doing the planting.

Just wanted to add that I use cheap wooden kebab sticks from the SM to mark where I've put in bulbs, they're fairly unobstrusive and the square bit on the end stops them poking in your eye! They last for a year or so.

    Morning everyone.Β

No rain yet, but the prediction is for hail, snow down to 500 m, thunder, etc. As we are at 800 m, I’m not sure what to believe. Still sunny out there.

We are off to town for Hubby to have a blood test, so it could be an interesting drive home.Β

Back from town. Cold, intermittent light rain and now snug in front of wood heater.😁

Thats it. We are in for the day now. πŸ‘πŸ‘
