Good morning all 😊 ☕️ Glad I stayed up to watch that … phenomenal tennis … from both players … plus a bit of dramatic gore as well … that match had everything. Henman appeared totally stupefied by the consistently high quality of tennis … and then the crowd, from having cheered her opponent all the way, sang Sweet Caroline for Raducanu … as I said, that match had everything. 😀
    I need another ☕️

  • Good morning  @Dovefromabove @Hostafan1 and those to come,
     Good evening "Pat E"
Not a great night's sleep here,  drunk Russians sitting in the garden of the house next door getting louder with every can!
Just getting over my cold, so grotty coughing but feeling much better.
Didn't watch the tennis but sounds incredible,  I'm sure I'll catch up with it at some point.

    Good morning all.

I stayed up until 11.30pm French time and recorded the rest of the match. Won't be so tense now that I know who won.

Must do some tidying before Son 2 and family come.

Sunny morning here. Slept in after watching the end of the tennis last night. What’s the significance of ‘sweet Caroline’ ?

Well done Emma! I was in bed reading and had to keep jumping out in the last set to see if she had won, I might just as well have sat up and watched it!
A very warm day here today, I have some cuttings of Salvias to pot on so may do that.

It sort of accidentally became the England fans' anthem during Euro 2020 ... and now seems to have been embraced by UK fans at all sorts of sporting events ... it's a good singalong melody and there's those words "Good times never seemed so good" ... says it all really.

    Hi all

Just been asked to go and look at the young couples garden in one of the cottages. They wanted to know what the piles of earth on the lawn were. I explained they were Mole hills. Having never lived outside London before, this was the first time they had seen a Mole hill. They were fare more excited than bothered, which I thought was rather nice.
How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team
