Morning all, eaten my porridge and now lingering over my coffee. Only need one, but I have a really big mug!
really must go and trim some of the laurel hedge today, and collect up the piles of brambles I’ve left round the garden. Will also have to help OH re hang the kitchen door.
    Take care, all.

    Amazing pic @Pat E ….just don’t lick up any more hailstones 👅😉

Ski holiday plans sound amazing @D0rdogne_Damsel …..well deserved.

Another day of swotting for me, and a Garden Club committee meeting tonight. Fun fun fun 🤩

Good morning Forkers.  Another sunny day bit with some cloudy spells today so we'll only get to 25C.  That's fine as I shall be indoors anyway in a bright airy hall for the patch club AGM.  President's report now written, 2 kinds of flapjacks baked - coffee and walnut and cinnamon, coconut and cashew and all samples of workshops planned packed and ready to go.  This bag covers 3 of them.

Love that sky @Pat E.  Hope you get plenty of rain.

Good to have some hols organised @D0rdogne_Damsel.  Apparently one of Richard Lionheart's favourite castles is just up the road from here towards les Sables d'Olonne.  They do special events all summer but I'd rather check it out without all the tourists.

I'm sure you'll find that last game on Youtube or similar @Busy-Lizzie.

    Have a lovely day everyone.

Hi Obelixx. The patchwork looks very impressive.

No rain yet, but it’s dark out, so don’t know if the clouds have moved away or not.

    Impressive patchwork Obelixx. 👏👏

No rain yet, but as it’s now dark, I don’t know if the clouds have gone elsewhere or not.

    Morning all.

The builder has been and put in the drains in front of the new garage.
I've been digging my new jewel bed but it's too hot now, 25° in the shade and that bed is in the sun at the moment. It will get some shade from the hazel tree later but forecast is for 31° at 4pm.

Think I'll have a look at YouTube for the end of the match.

Hi folks, Tired after yesterday's excursion to Warwick Castle.  We all had a good time but unfortunately the boys were  all night, don't know if it was something they ate or a but but poor Secondborn is having to do lots of washing and cleaning today.
I was planning a quiet day but somehow ended up vacuuming, steam cleaning the hard floors and cleaning the dishwasher (a job I hate).  I'm now sitting down with a well earned cuppa.
Hope you manage to watch the end of the tennis BL.
DD that sounds like a fabulous hotel, a break well earned by you and Charlie.
    Love the bag Obelixx

    Afternoon all,

    Sounds like everyone's busy today.
Pity about the poorly grandchildren @Yviestevie, hopefully just over excitement.
Fabulous holiday DD - something to really look forward to.
That's very intricate looking patchwork @Obelixx.

We had our usual walk this morning but then had to hurry to load the car and take nine bin bags full of box bush cuttings to our recycling centre - you now have to book a slot and can't just turn up. I find it annoying to have to print out the confirmation using my expensive ink and paper, only to find the chap on duty didn't bother to ask for it. I might just wave the same bit of paper next time!

It's looking a bit stormy out there now, we're finding the birch leaves are coming down fast all over our garden, presumably earlier than usual as it's been so dry.

Enjoy the rest of the day all.
