Just out of curiosity, how many police officers a year get charged with sexual offences? Is the prevalence higher or lower than general population? I think such rape cases are more likely to get national press interest than rape cases involving a member of the general population. Press reporting is a selecting event and not representing the true risk involved.
Having said that I would not be surprised if the police sexual offence rate is higher, anything is possible with the police for many reasons.
One point I have, it is not a justification just partial explanation, police look after their own because it's a difficult, stressful and dangerous job. You get close relationships based on trust developed in difficult conditions. Teams are often like that in stressful situations or roles. Army, navy, airforce, police, etc. All similar. I've experienced it with a right knit group of friends I whitewater kayaker to grade 5 water. We put ourselves in harms way for sport which meant we relied on ourselves first but each other second. Relied that they were good enough to look after themselves but also to assist you if you got into difficulty. I have been rescued from very dangerous water and have helped rescue others. It creates close knit friendships that can be manipulated by people too.
I know someone who studied porn as part of a masters degree. Not exactly an expert but as part of a women's studies graduate course she learnt enough to know that porn is damaging to women at any level.Â

The porn I watch doesn't have any women in it.
Harmful to whoever it does have in it if human. I don't suppose animal porn exists outside of David Attenborough nature programmes. Never thought of it that way. If animals are legally sentient then is it against their rights to intrude in their private moments?Â

I have a friend who was in some, he loved it, got paid for it and has no regrets

I need clarification. Is your friend an animal? I'm assuming not a cat...
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
