Why do I bother? How has it all gone so badly wrong? We used to have players who could actually play football - we still have most of them but their muscle memory must have lapsed....nightmare.

Oh dear, sounds like it didn’t end well. OH, who doesn’t like football much, actually reckons the ladies teams are extremely skilful. Maybe time to switch allegiance?
  • Ergates,my hubby says exactly the same thing, and that woman players are civilized, don't cry like babies at a little tap,and actually play as a team.

Oh dear @steveTu.  But at least you are not a Norwich supporter - that's just plain embarrassing.
On the other subject - I also reported that silly girl.  It was amusing when it was all putting nets on salvias to prevent the moths getting the nectar she was saving for 'her' bees and not knowing a cherry from a crab apple, but when it degenerated into downright abuse, that was it.

I've posted on a couple of those threads, responding to the original questions, mostly, and pointing out one or two things that were definitely misleading,  but I've been biting my tongue and staying out of the rest of it.

Wise @JennyJ.  That poster is clearly not going to see reason and is best ignored tho I agree with @Fairygirl about warning new posters that such behaviour is not normal or acceptable.

Just heard this on the radio from a Polish truck driver who lives in Glasgow - Brits say dogs are not just for Xmas, unlike EU truck drivers.

I heard that too, it echoes what me & my wife were saying a few days ago, why would they want to come here for 12 weeks , when pay and conditions are better in Europe. Apparently there is a book out,  written by an ex public schoolboy,  saying exactly why ex public school types are the  WRONG  people to be in charge of the country. This is a classic case, they think the lower orders (as they see us) are merely a resource to be used, abused, & then discarded when no longer suited to their purpose.

He was quite right in what he said @steephill :)
Those poor souls last year at Christmas - forgotten about almost instantly, as I said recently. Yesterday's fish and chip paper.... >:)

    Indeed @Allotment Boy.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
